MESSAGE FROM THE DEPARTMENT
With the world of finance coming back to life, and a few rays ofhope shining bright for the Indian economy, the placement season
at DFS this year was a successful one.
The recruiters, especially banking institutions and credit rating
agencies made the best of the opportunity as the future of
financial activities seems expansive. A lot of money is being
pumped into infrastructural development by the government, thusthe credit providing institutions seemed busy recruiting as well.
The overall response to the recruitment was better than the last
recruitment season with a string of new recruiters accepting to
come to the campus. The department also hosted a number of
new recruiters for final and summer placements this season, with
investment banking and financial research as the major verticals on
offer for summers.
Apart from placements, the department also inculcated corporate
exposure into its pedagogy by way of numerous Guest Lectures
and Leadership talks by senior professionals from the industry as a
part of the Corporate Relationship Programme.
