SummarizeThe heat press is engineered to imprint a design or graphic onto a substrate by using heat and pressure for a preset period of time.

While heat presses are often used to apply designs to fabrics, such as t-shirts, they can also be used to imprint designs on mugs, plates, jigsaw puzzles and other products.

Using sublimation ink, the pattern/image is first printed onto sublimation paper, before it is transferred onto the substrate. Highly effective patterns and great effects can be achieved through this technique

Process of a heat press

Related equipment• Camera or scanner

» Obtain images directly from your camera, scanner or computer.

• Computer » Use a computer with photo processing software to covert

the images to the required size, color and shape.• Ink

» Heat presses use a special sublimation ink to transfer images onto mugs, etc.

» You can use normal dye ink for T-shirt transfers.• Continuous ink system (CISS)

» If you use the transfer sublimation ink, ensure that you use the separate continuous ink system.

• Printer » If using a printer, use EPSON ink-jet printer inks only. » For mug printing, use the settings as shown below.

• Paper » Use heat transfer paper for imprinting onto mugs,

plates and metal plate transfers. Ensure that the image is mirrored.

» Use the light T-Shirt transfer paper for printing on light coloured T-Shirts. Ensure that the image is mirrored.

» Use the dark T-Shirt transfer paper for printing on dark T-shirts. Ensure that the image is not mirrored.

• Machine » There are a series of heat press machines, designed for

different sublimation applications ie. mug press, plate press, cap press, T-shirt press, combo press and so on.

» All the machines’ operations are almost the same, with just temperature and baking time variations.

Basic preparation before using• Before you use the machine, please check whether the power

supply conforms to the rated voltage of the machine. The unit needs to be earthed via a 3 pin plug.

• When you replace the burned heat press parts, it is important to first shut down the unit completely and disconnect the mains supply.

• Please use insulated heat protective gloves when you need to replace the top of heat press under the high temperature conditions.

• Also, please insert the heat shield to prevent damage as a result of the high temperatures.

• Do not insert any sharp objects in the heat press that could damage the heater block.

• During use, be very careful not to allow your body to touch any of the hot surfaces which could result in burns.

• During use, do not touch the pressure spring which could result in injuries. .

• Do not apply excessive force when pressing down on the press. By adjusting the pressure handle properly, you will prevent damage to the unit.

• Do not allow unsupervised access to the machine even whilst not in use as some parts might still cause burns or injuries.

• When changing the heating element, ensure that the power plug is disconnected. After changing the element – re-connect the power plug into the control box.

• Do not use the heating pad for any other use other than what it was designed for.

NOTE: Before using your machine, you will need to change the temperature from Farenheit to Celcius. To do this: Turn ON the machine. HOLD the temp + & Temp button together; then press the mode key onces. Here you will see if it is F (Farenheit) or C (Celcius). Use the TEMP button to change it. After this is done, press the mode key twice and you are ready to start working.

Touch screen control box operation instruction• The traditional intelligent multi-function heat transfer machine

has many manual operating controls eg temperature settings, timers, speed etc. This requires trained personnel with obvious costs attached.

• Our series of user-friendly intelligent touch screen controls, make this function far simpler and more accurate.

• The on-board controller supervises temperature, timers, material classification, picture and various other technical parameters.

• This greatly simplifies the whole printing process and requires a lot less input from the operator.

Starting

• Turn the power on.• Press the home key to enter the language

choice menu. • Choose the language which you will use. • Enter into the products choice menu.• Choose the product which you are wanting

to produce. • There are 3 options in the menu.

» Work » Self Check » Product Description

• Click on the appropriate name into the corresponding function, by clicking on the upper left corner of the screen arrow to return to the main menu.

Work• Select work in the main menu.• Set the interface will enter the product

parameters setting interface. The five words in the lower left corner of the screen are the specific product names, according to the need, click on the name of the product.

• The three parameters at the top of the screen are temperature, time and quantity.

• According to the different products, preset the temperature and time.

• Based on the actual print, modify the quantity parameters.

• Click on the blue digital screen, and then click on the lower right corner of the digital keyboard to modify the required values according to the actual need.

• After setting product, select ‘Confirm’ to enter the corresponding product interface.

• The first line of the operation interface is the product name.

• The second line is temperature display, which controls the heating element to the actual temperature.

• When the temperature rises to the set temperature, it will keep the state of constant temperature.

• The third line is executive times. When the temperature reaches to constant temperature, it will trigger the time countdown. When the countdown reaches zero, it will start the buzzing alarm.

• The fourth line displays the quantity that has been completed.

Self check• Choose ‘self check’ in the main menu.• The total running time of the machine will

be reflected. • The following lines are printed for each of the products

corresponding to the number of.• Click the return arrow to return to the main menu.

About• In the main menu and select ‘About’ and it will show the
