Harassment Prevention (Mandatory Attendance): This 45-minute core competency course provides volunteers, interns, employees, supervisors, managers and directors an awareness of the laws and issues relating to discrimination and bullying in the workplace. By-Stander Intervention (Mandatory Attendance): This 1.75 hour interactive course delves into the concepts of how we as a society intervene in discriminatory situations. Most problems begin in group settings where we are less likely to intervene. Friends are usually in a better position to do something. You will be in a situation in which you can help in the future, so it will be important

to learn safe, acceptable methods of intervene. We all have a responsibility to look out for one another.

As bystanders, we all have a choice: do nothing, do something to prevent or stop a situation from worsening, or do something to make the situation worse. We are all called, as American citizens and public employees, to do something to prevent or stop a situation from worsening. Bystander intervention training discusses available resources and how to effectively intervene in situations involving a variety of discriminatory situations.
