The organisation's highest policy-making body is the SEAMEO Council, which comprises the 11Southeast Asian education ministers. The SEAMEO Secretariat is located in Bangkok, Thailand.

What is SEAMOLEC?Our mission is to create a society in which an informed and active citizenry is sovereign

and makes policy decisions based on the will of the majority. We will build democracy throughactivism and education and change the law to ensure that political processes are controlled bycitizens. PROFIL INSTITUSI YANG SIAP MENERIMA STUDI LUAR NEGERI

The establishment history of Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia started off on September 16, 1993. The university was formerly known as Pusat Latihan Staf Politeknik (PLSP). The core business of PLSP then was to train and produce polytechnics academic staff to become knowledgeable and skilful in various engineering fields. The training institute was jointly administered by Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and the Ministry of Education Malaysia.

VISION : “Towards a world class university in engineering, science and technology for sustainable development.”MISSION : “UTHM is committed to generate and disseminate knowledge, to meet the needs of the industry and the community and to nurture creative and innovative human capital, based on the tauhidicparadigm.”

In January 2008, a restructuring of the university academic system was undertaken with the express purpose of preparing a strong structure that would enable the increase in the number of postgraduate students and the hoisting of the UUM flag in the international academic arena. The university sees the need to be global in practice and content since the knowledge it generates and purveys transcends and extends far beyond the borders of Malaysia. In this restructuring exercise, 13 faculties were merged and streamed into 3 main Academic Colleges, namely UUM COB (UUM College of Business), UUM CAS (UUM College of Arts and Sciences), and UUM COLGIS (UUM College of Law, Government and International Studies).

The UUM Transformation Plan, which is essentially a roadmap for the future pursuits and endeavours of UUM,is divided into two phases. Phase One, which is from 2011 till 2015, is focused on unequivocally placing UUMon the local academic map in a systematic and planned manner. During this period, greater emphasis will begiven to ensuring the successful achievement of the objectives of the First Phase while, at the same time,being mindful of the imperatives of the Second Phase of the Transformation Plan, which will be from 2016 till2020.
