The first conversion was made in 2002 – 6 libraries were united with Tampere library´s data base (Hämeenkyrö, Kangasala, Lempäälä, Pirkkala, Viljakkala, Ylöjärvi)

In 2003 there was 6 conversions Vesilahti, Nokia,Valkeakoski, Toijala, Viiala, Kylmäkoski, Urjala, Mänttä, Vilppula and Äetsä were united with PIKI library system

In 2004 Orivesi was united with PIKI In 2005 Vammala, Punkalaidun and Suodenniemi

were united with PIKI library system In 2007 Juupajoki, Kuhmalahti and Pälkäne were

united with PIKI

in the beginning of 2007 there were 4 consolidations of municipalities

Längelmäki was devided between Jämsä and Orivesi

Toijala and Viiala united to Akaa Suodenniemi united with Vammala and Viljakkala

with Ylöjärvi In April 2007: 21 municipalities in PIKI PIKI area : over 431.000 inhabitants, 93 % of the

whole Pirkanmaan Region 2007: Ikaalinen will be united with PIKI in the

autumn

• PIKI controlling team has a meeting once a month• several special groups are meeting: about cataloguing,

parameters, strategy, annual report , PIKI brochure, regional reservation, and logistics etc.
