Connor Southwell
LocationWe shot at these two locations:
Danby Woods The garage we shot in
A birds eye shot of the woods we used in our thriller, it’s an enclosed space which makes our film physiologically challenging.
Low key lighting and darkness means it’s a good space to create shadowing
Location: Intertextual ReferencesWe used locations that were in popular modern films such as Hansel and Gretel.
Our film seen on the left in comparison to Hansel and Gretel, as you can see from the location, we drew inspiration from the eeriness of the woods in that particular film.
Costume
Joshua Masterson- Costume Tom Rush- Costume
Josh’s costume is used to metaphorically show his torment through the use of a hood.
Tom Rush’s costume applies to conventional youth stereotypes, which is rough and violent. Conforming to the ‘chav’ stereotype.
Characters
Joshua Masterson (Protagonist) Tom Rush (Antagonist)
Based on youth stereotypes in the UK. Rush is based on the character James Cook from skins who is a juvenile delinquent.

Based on the girl spoken about in this article. How we developed our knowledge and characterisation of Masterson.
Props
The Candle
The candle used in our scene is metaphorical and used by Rush to mentally torment the character of Masterson.
