Dear readers,dear customers,

„A time to make friends“ was the slogan at the 2006 Football World Cup in Germany. For several weeks, people from a wide range of countries and cultures celebrated a glittering festival of football. Here at LIQUI MOLY we also live by this motto; not just for a few weeks, but day by day, year by year.

It seems that when we make friends, they look at our cover picture. People from every continent and all creeds visited our booth at the Automechanika 2012. No matter whe-ther Indian, Portuguese or Nigerian; everyone is welcome in the LIQUI MOLY family worldwide.

You, dear business partner, are not just a random customer, but a friend, a compa-nion and a comrade-in-arms. You are partners on our path and contribute towards our products being bought, our creation and sustaining of jobs which therefore allows us to keep growing.

Additivspecialisten LIQUI MOLY har udviklet en brændstoftilsætning til profylaktisk behandling:Dieselpartikelfilter-beskyttelsen.

- Hvis denne bruges regelmæssigt kan sod ikke gøre filteret noget. Dermed undgås dyrereparationer og stilstandstider“, siger Uwe Krügel, leder af forskning & udvikling/ tekniskeapplikationer.

For hver 2.000 kilometer tilsættes additivet umiddelbart før tankning. Indholdet af en 250 ml-dåserækker til 50 til 70 liter dieselbrændstof og er egnet til alle køretøjer med dieselpartikelfilter, forså vidt som de ikke allerede råder over et elektronisk styret additiv-tanksystem til filter-regeneration, sådan som det for eksempel er tilfældet hos Citroen og Peugeot.

- Additivet er en praktisk ny tjenesteydelse for værksteder, som dermed sparer kunderne for storeudgifter. Derudover formidler de kompetence, og dette styrker bindingen til kunden, forklarerKrügel.

Liqui Moly launches Arabic website

The German motor oil and additive expertLiqui Moly has launched the Arabicversion of its international website (www.liqui-moly.com/arabia).

"This reflects the growing importance of the Arab region and should improve the service for ourcustomers," says Gerhard Riedmüller, Export Manager at Liqui Moly.

Along with English, Spanish, French and, of course, German, Arabic is now the fifth languageoption on the international Liqui Moly website. "Ever increasing numbers of Arab workshopsand drivers are choosing 'made in Germany' quality," says Riedmüller. "We want to offer thosepeople the corresponding 'made in Germany' service on the internet."

In most countries Liqui Moly is sold via independent importers that run their own websites. Asan addition to these, all workshops, dealers and car drivers are to receive the same information,tips for application and news on the Arabic website. The centrepiece of the website is the oilguide. Using the oil guide, users can set the vehicle type, brand and model and instantly receiveinformation on the right motor oils and gearbox oils and which oil they need for power steeringand hydraulics. This information can be printed out and kept in the car, so that you need neverwaste any time deciding which oil to buy. Because nowadays motor oil is like a liquid replacementpart and the wrong oil can lead to problems, in the worst case engine damage. The Liqui Molyoil guide is free and can be used without registration - a useful tool for workshops and drivers alike.

"More and more we are concentrating on the export business," says Gerhard Riedmüller. "Andthe Arab world is a key part of that. We want to ensure there is no language barrier betweenus and our customers."

ULM, Germany — German motor oil and additive company LIQUI MOLY will showcase at AAPEX in Las

Vegas.

The U.S. is the third largest export nation for LIQUI MOLY. "That is already good, but in the mid-term we

want to make the USA our No. 1 customer," said Manfred Fischer, export area manager for LIQUI MOLY in

the United States.

The U.S. is one of the few countries where LIQUI MOLY is distributed by the company's own affiliate rather

than by an independent importer.

"It is a hard-fought market, but we are good fighters," said Fischer. To date, the turnover for 2012 is nearly

50 percent higher than for the same period the previous year. "This figure alone shows the enormous

potential of this country even in economically difficult times."

LIQUI MOLY is produced exclusively in Germany to ensure highest possible quality, the company says. Its

motor oils are officially approved by the automobile manufacturers, the company says, a point which has

been decisive in Europe for many years and in the meantime is gaining increasing significance in the U.S.

Its additives have been tested repeatedly by independent laboratories and their effectiveness confirmed.

company's aim to be a sort of one-stop shop for repair shops.

Among the new products being introduced this week in Frankfurt are a new 5W-20 motor oil for Asian and

American vehicles, along with a new Racing Motor Oil line available for motorcycle owners in Europe and

the new ATF featuring Dexon 6 for Asian vehicles. In addition, in the German market, LIQUI MOLY now

offers a HAZMAT service for repair shops. While not available to the U.S. market, the company may

consider expanding this service to the U.S. at some point down the road, Szarafinski says.

Due to its rapid success and growth over the past several years, the company has gone from an "attack"

position to a "defend" position as it takes a top leadership spot in its category, according to Szarafinski. The

company enjoys a strong position in the German market, and, year over year, the company has experienced

a 50 percent growth rate in the U.S. market.

In addition to continually increasing its touch points with customers through the introduction of new products

and services, Szarafinski says the close relationship with its customers has R&D benefits as well.

"We develop new products with feedback from the workshops, so it's also very important to keep close

contact with the customers," he added.

Fras-le increased the size of its booth this year, growing from a 70 square meter space at the 2010 show to

a 96 square meter space this year.

LIQUI MOLY, the German brand of motor oil isused by many without any complaints. With its participation at the AAPEX in Las Vegas the German motor oil and additive expert LIQUIMOLY has made the next major step on its growth path in the USA. "The world's largest annualautomotive accessory fair is the perfect platform for greater market familiarity", declared ManfredFischer, Export Area Manager for LIQUI MOLY in the USA.

The USA is the third largest export nation for LIQUI MOLY. "That is already good, but in themid-term we want to make the USA our number one customer", continued Manfred Fischer. Thisintention is underscored by the fact that the USA is one of the few countries where LIQUI MOLY isdistributed by the company's own affiliate rather than by an independent importer.

"It is a hard-fought market, but we are good fighters", reported Manfred Fischer. To date theturnover for 2012 is nearly 50 percent higher than for the same period the previous year. "Thisfigure alone shows the enormous potential of this country even in economically difficult times."

Klasse und Gruppe in Grünhain in fester Hand des Rallyeteams Honke Der MC Grünhain führt seine neunte Ausgabe mit klassischer Konzeption durch: drei ver-schiedene Wertungsprüfungen, faktisch alle als Sprint (die dritte Prüfung beginnt mit ei-nem kleinen Rundkurs), 100 Prozent Asphalt über Landstraßen und Ortsverbindungsstraßen im Erz-gebirge. Die Prüfungen sind sehr anspruchsvoll, schnell und nicht ungefährlich. Am Morgen zeigt sich der Himmel diesig und bedeckt, doch pünkt-lich zum Start hellt er sich auf – die 9. ADMV-Rallye Grünhain kann bei optimalem Rallyewetter über die Bühne gehen. Mit am Start das Rallyeteam Honke in der alten Besatzung Reinhard Honke und Co Mario Nitsche auf dem bärenstarken BMW M3 CSL. Da die Wettervorhersagen auch keinen Regen mel-deten und der Streckenverlauf dem BMW entgegen kam, rechnete sich das Team eine gute Platzierung aus, auch ohne die für diese Wertungsprüfungen benötigen Strecken-kenntnisse. Gleich auf der ersten Prüfung einer Ultra schnellen Prüfung konnten wir uns in der Klasse sowie in der Gruppe einen deutlichen Vorsprung erzielen. Nur mit ein paar wenigen der starkverbesserten Gruppe H Boliden konnte wir, wie erwartet, von Anfang an nicht mithalten.

Auf der Wertungsprüfung zwei einer schnelle Strecke zwischen den typischen Baumallee die-ser Gegend, vor der wir nach dem besichtigen ein gewissen Respekt hatten, lief es perfekt Wir konnten dort die 4 Gesamtzeit erzielen nur hinter einem Word Rallye Car und zwei Mitsubishi Lan-cer. Somit konnten wir nicht nur unseren Vor-sprung ausbauen sondern auch im Gesamt den fünften Platz festigen. Die Wertungsprüfung 3 ein kleiner Rundkurs mit einen ultraschnellen Aus-

fahrt war dann auch wieder eine sichere Beute des Rallyeteam Honke, somit führten wir zur Halbzeit der Rallye die Klasse und die Gruppe an und im Gesamt waren wir auf dem fünften Platz. Da der Rückstand auf dem vierten im Gesamt nur 1,6 Sekunden betrug wollten wir auf der zweiten Schleife noch einmal angreifen. So konnten wir zwar die Zeit auf der Wer-tungsprüfung 4 noch einmal verbessern, jedoch keine Zeit auf den vor uns platzierten gut machen, und so entschieden wir uns den Speed beizubehalten um den Gruppensieg nicht zu riskieren. So spulten wir die restlichen 2 Prüfungen ohne Probleme ab und konn-ten die Zeit jeweils zum ersten Durchgang noch etwas verbessern. Somit war das Wochenende perfekt, Klassensieg und Gruppensieg bei dieser anspruchs-vollen und gut organisierten Rallye in Sachsen. 5 Platz im Gesamt und bestes heckange-triebenes Fahrzeug. Überraschung bei„Harburg Open”Hollenstedt (pps). Bei der5. Auflage der „HarburgOpen“ haben die Tisch-tennis-Spieler aus demLandkreis Harburg an-sprechende Leitungengezeigt. Nachdem dasTurnier im vergangenenJahr kurzfristig nach Buch-holz verlegt worden war,fand der vom AusrichterSV Grün-Weiss Harburgveranstaltete Vorberei-tungswettkampf in diesemJahr wieder in der Max-Schmeling-Halle in Hol-lenstedt statt. Bendestorf. Das Trial-Team Ben-destorf (TTB) im SV Bendes-torf ist eine kleine Gruppe mitprominentem Aushänge-schild: Jarmo Robrahn. Der 13-Jährige sorgt seit einiger Zeitmit teils spektakulären Auf-tritten für Furore. Sieger derNorddeutschen Trial-Meister-schaft 2011, neunter Platz beider Jugend-EM in Tschechien– das sind nur zwei seiner vie-len Erfolge auf seiner 125-Ku-bikzentimeter-Maschine mitsechs PS. Zwar wohnt derAchtklässler in Bargfeld-Ste-gen, Schleswig-Holstein, ertrainiert aber wegen der gutenBedingungen mindestens ein-mal pro Woche beim TTB.

Noch ist Jarmos große Lei-denschaft selbst bei Sport-Freunden relativ unbekannt.Trial ist eine aus Englandstammende Motorsportart,bei der es darum geht, mit ei-nem besonders leichten Mo-torrad einen mit Hindernissengespickten Parcours mög-lichst fehlerfrei zu durchfah-ren. Die Zeit spielt keine gro-ße Rolle; vielmehr geht es da-rum, weder die Streckenmar-kierungen zu berühren, nochsich auf dem Boden mit denFüßen abzstützen.

„Balance ist sehr wichtig“,sagt Jarmo. Seit seinem fünf-ten Lebensjahr, als sein Vaterihm die erste leichte Maschineschenkte, ist er von dem Sportinfiziert: „Es geht vor allemum die perfekte Maschinenbe-herrschung.“ Um diese zu op-timieren, trainiert der 13-Jähri-ge fast täglich in seinem Hei-matort. Am Wochenende ste-hen Turniere und Meister-

schaften auf dem Plan.Bis zu 35 Wettkämpfe im

Jahr absolviert der Schüler ei-ner Gemeinschaftsschule. „Esist schon ein gewaltiges Pen-sum für einen 13-Jährigen“,gibt Gerhard Götzmann zu.Der alleinerziehende Vaterunterstützt seinen Sohn, wo ernur kann. Manchmal bestehtdie Unterstützung vor allem

darin, seinen Sohn einzu-bremsen. „Sitzt er einmal aufder Maschine, fährt und fährter – oft bis zur totalen Er-schöpfung. Da muss ich danneingreifen.“ Jarmo entgegnetkess: „Ich bin einfach ehrgei-zig. Wer nach ganz oben will,muss hart trainieren.“ Dasgroße Ziel, mit seinem Sporteinmal Geld zu verdienen, be-

äugt der Vater skeptisch: „Pri-orität besitzt klar die Schule.“

Bislang meistert Jarmo denSpagat zwischen Schule undLeistungssport – auch, weil ermitunter vom Unterricht frei-gestellt wird und sich dieLerninhalte eigenständig erar-beitet. „Ohne das Verständnisder Schule wären seine Erfol-ge nicht möglich gewesen“,

gesteht Götzmann. Das Abiturmöchte Jarmo auf jeden Fallmachen. Auch ein Auslands-aufenthalt könnte sich der 13-Jährige vorstellen. Das Ziel?„Spanien! Dort fährt die Trial-Weltelite.“

Zunächst hat der 13-Jährigejedoch andere Ziele. Im No-vember geht es zu einem Pro-betraining beim Elite-Kaderdes deutschen Verbandes.Wird Jarmo angenommen, istihm eine Förderung bis zum18. Lebensjahr sicher. „Das wä-re ein Traum“, gibt Jarmo zu.Zurzeit bleibt dem Jungennoch etwas Raum für andereFreizeitaktivitäten. Dohren (to). Es waren Tage vol-ler Spaß und Werbung für denBaseball: Der 22. Wild Far-mers Cup in Dohren war füralle Beteiligten samt der rund200 Zuschauer an drei Tagenein großes Vergnügen. DieMischung aus Sport und Partykam wieder einmal gut an.Baseballfreunde aus ganzDeutschland und Dänemarkreisten ins Dorf vor den TorenTostedts, um das größte Base-ballturnier Norddeutschlandsgemeinsam zu verleben.

Dabei gab’s dann auch ge-nügend Gelegenheit die„Wunden zu lecken“, die nachdem Abstieg der Herren-Mannschaft aus der 1. Bundes-

liga entstanden waren. Dochgegen die Hamburg Knightsgab es für Dohren im Eröff-nungsspiel gleich einen Sieg.

In der folgenden Gruppen-phase konnten gerade die ver-meintlichen Außenseiterüberzeugen, während die Fa-voriten es eher gemächlichangehen ließen. Am Ab-schlusstag ging es dann umdie Platzierungen, die ihrenHöhepunkt im Finale derBaseballherren fanden, das dieRed Barons (Mixed-Team ausehemaligen Bundesliga-Spie-lern) gegen Dominican Powerfür sich entschieden. Für dieeigentliche Überraschung desTurniers aber sorgten die Fuß-baller des SV Dohren, die sichim Softball gegen das Mixed-Team und die Gastgeberinnender Farmers durchsetzten.
