How to add your own pictures and stories to our meetup group
This is a short guide, with pictures, about how to add pictures and stories to our meetup group.
You have to be a member of our meetup group to add your pictures and stories to our website. When
you are a member, adding pictures is easy and fast. Just go to the “photos” page and click “upload
photos”, select pictures you want to upload from your computer and click “upload”.
Adding a story about the event or airplane you took pictures of is just as easy. You have to be a member
to access the “add a page” feature. When you are a member, click on “Pages” and then click on “add a
page”. Give your page a title and type in your story text. You can add an image by clicking on the little
image icon and selecting an image from your photo album.

SIGNUP
To signup go to our group’s URL: http://www.meetup.com/Central-Ohio-Pilots-and-Aviation-fans/
Then:
1) Click “Signup” in the upper right corner
2) Put in the name you want to show up on your posts, discussions, etc.
3) Put in your email address, this is how we’ll tell you about events
4) Pick a password
5) Click “Signup” at the bottom of the “Sign Up” box
To share photos of your favorite story, event, airplane you have to be logged in:
LOGIN
To login, go to our page http://www.meetup.com/Central-Ohio-Pilots-and-Aviation-fans/
Then:
1) Click “Login” in the upper right corner
2) Put in your email address
3) Enter your password
4) Click “Log In” at the bottom of the “Log In” box
ADDING YOUR PHOTOS
There are a few steps
First, go to the “Photos” page (1), then click on “Upload photos” (2)
Then, select “A new album” (1), hold your control key and click on whichever photos you want to upload
from your computer (2), the “Open” box (on Microsoft Windows computers) will list the files you have
selected in the “File name” box for you. When you have selected your photos, click “Open” (4).
You will now see an “Upload photos to:” box in your web browser. It will list the photos you have
selected to upload. When you click “Upload” your photos will go into the folder named at the top.
Please be sure your photos are going to the correct folder. If the name of the
photo folder in the “Upload photos to” box is not correct, please cancel and get
the folder name corrected by doing the “upload photos” steps again.
Adding your own page, with your story, your pictures
When you are signed in, click on the “Pages” (1 above) menu item, then click the “Add a page” link (2)
Give your page a name (1), trying not to use the name of someone else’s page. Then type in (or paste)
your text in the “Page body” box (2).
When you want to put a picture from your photo album into your page, click the image icon (3), then
choose “insert a photo from your albums” (4) or “link to a photo” (5).
When you insert an image, and you choose “insert an image from my albums” you will need to click on
the little inverted triangle to get a list of the photo albums where you will choose your photo album.
After entering your text and inserting your image, you can preview or save your page. You will see your
images appear in your text like 1, above. Be sure to click “Save” (2) or your page will not be saved.
Let me repeat:
Be sure to click “Save” so your page will be kept and be available to members
of our group
