After 15 years in a traditional office space, PAEA decided to rethink their workplace to address the changing world of education for physician assistants and create a space to facilitate various forms of meetings and collaboration. The traditional reception area was entirely eliminated and replaced with a large, informal lounge divided into two zones—a high table and low seating. To control sound in this now informal, multi-use space, Akustika 25 Baffles are installed overhead to reduce sound reverberation. In alternating hues of 100% wool felt to add colorful (and effective) patterning overhead, the baffles provide an NRC rating of 1.20.
