Traditionally, tracks have beenpurely functional systems withlittle or no aesthetic role. Theyusually came in standard formwith a basic aluminium colour.But now all that has changed,

because Philips presents acomplete range of track systems.From the functional 2-circuit track(which provides two differentscenes from one track) to thehighly functional and versatile 3-circuit track. Theres also theround 3-circuit track and theelegant Minorail Express System.Now, lighting designers canchoose a track system thatintegrates with the architectureand interior design.

Track systems allow functional yet stylish lighting to be achieved at the Virgin Megastorein Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

The highly functional and versatile 3-circuit track allows lighting designers to achieve three different lightingeffects from one track. In the case shown here, lighting is arranged in an interior to highlight severaldifferent scenes.

3-circuit Square - RCS 750

Philips3-circuit track system is aflexible system for theprofessional user. It offers a wide

range of different possibilities forthe optimal lighting of eachsituation. Any requiredconfiguration can be relativelyeasily created: horizontal orvertical, mounted on or in theceiling on the wall or on free -standing panels.

It is also possible to apply thesystem as a floating structure byusing the suspension tubes andclamps out of the mountingaccessory package.

The standing parts offer thearchitect and installer numerousoptions to position the tracksystem and luminaires at anyrequired distance from the objectto be lit.

Because the DCS luminairesapplied here are easy to move,changes in the lighting andpresentation can be made verysimply.

The basis of the 3-circuit tracksystem is the solid aluminiumtrack containing four electricalconductors.

The associated accessoriesguarantee a good electrical andmechanical connection.This means that a multi -functional track system can be

built up, on which not only accentlighting but also using theappropriate suspension hooks advertising and decorativematerial can be suspended.

lengths of 1,2,3 and 4 m.Itcontains four electricalconductors allowing easycreation of any requiredconfiguration:horizontal or vertical, recessed orsurface-mounted on the wall, onfree-standing panels of floating.All luminaires have their separatepower supply and can beswitched selectively by phase orby circuit. Tracks have long beenconsidered a purely functionalelement, without any aestheticrole. Usually in a standard formand in aluminium colour, thiselement, necessary because ofthe flexibility which it provides, israrely able to be harmoniouslyintegrated into the interiors oftoday.This is why Philips proposes anew range of decorative trackswhich allow interiors to beharmoniously furnished,everywhere where visualappearance of the lightingsystem is very important.

This new round track, 50mm indiameter, as well as all theassociated connection andsupply accessories, is availablein white or black, with the furtherpossibility of choosing any RALcolour.The new Philips decorative tracksystem consists of 220 V /380 V3-circuit modules (3 separatephases or 3 circuits) in paintedextruded aluminium and of awide range of supply andconnection accessories, in whiteor black polycarbonate, allowingnumerous different architecturalstructures to be created.

For efficiency purposes, it usesthe same adaptors as thestandard 3-circuit square track.The various mountingpossibilitiesof this new system guaranteecomplete flexibility.
