PREFACE
This handbook was prepared to serve as a useful
reference material to our iscal policy makers and the general
public on Philippine public inance and other relevant
statistics.
The handbook contains, in a nutshell, the latest
three-year data series on national income, government
revenues, number of taxpayers, revenue and tax effort of
selected countries and other relevant statistics gathered from
different government agencies which our policymakers can
use in tax policy formulation and legislation.
We acknowledge with deep appreciation the support
and cooperation of the Department of Finance, Bureau of
Internal Revenue, Bureau of Customs, Bureau of the Treasury,
Bureau of Local Government Finance, Land Transportation
Ofice, and Philippine Statistics Authority in providing the
needed data as well as those who in one way or another
contributed to the completion of this statistics handbook.

1/ Annualized data for 2014 refer to the average of estimates for April, July and October survey
rounds. The estimates for these rounds exclude data of Leyte province. 2/ Annualized data for 2015 refer to the average of the four survey rounds that exclude Leyte.
These should not be compared with the 2014 annualized data as the latter exclude the January
round. The use of the 4 survey rounds for the 2015 annualized data was based on results of a
referendum conducted among members of the IAC on Labor and Productivity Statistics.
