We are a family business based inthe heart of Cheshire with anambition to improve as manychildren’s outdoor learning andplay areas as possible. We have also created a range ofbuild your own products whichcan help any budget stretch thatlittle bit further. All of theseproducts are supplied with simplestep by step installationinstructions for a competentperson to follow. Where possiblewe try to promote the use ofnatural and recycled materials.Our timber based products aremanufactured with the use ofenvironmentally friendly sourcedtimber. We also offer outdoormusical equipment made from 50% recycled materials and a large range of playgroundfurniture manufactured from100% recycled polystyrene.

The Playground Company haveestablished memberships toindustry recognised bodies suchas CHAS, Constructionline andRoSPA. We are independentlyassessed on a regular basis for ourcompany financial stability, healthand safety, and conformity to theEuropean Standards for both PlayEquipment (EN1176) and SafetySurfacing (EN1177). improve, simply give us a call and amember of our team will happilydiscuss the options available to you. We provide a free on site survey and will tailor all quotationsspecifically to meet your needs and accommodate your budget.

STEP 1 : Your Idea

From your initial phone call andideas, we can discuss yourindividual needs and arrange a sitevisit if required. If you are unsureof what you want, don’t worry, wecan suggest ideas which will workfor your play area. We alsoencourage the children to getinvolved, they have greatimaginations!

Following this first contact, we canget started on the next step.

STEP 2 : Visualise your play space

We will take all of your ideas andconcepts and when required, createa 3D design so you can visualiseyour play area. You will receive afully itemised quotation, detailingeach of the proposed products. Atthis point you may feel that thereare certain elements that you likebut others not so much. Not aproblem, we can tweak the designuntil you are 100% satisfied. We canthen turn your ideas into a reality.

STEP 3 : Installation

If you are happy to go ahead, justsend the order form whichaccompanies your quotation over tous and we will get the ball rolling.We will arrange a date for the workto commence which is suitable foryou. When it comes to theinstallation of your new playgroundequipment we fully understand theimportance of providing a safe andefficient service which has little tono impact on the general day to dayrunning of your school/nursery. Wewill provide you with full details ofthe installation process to ensureyou have no surprises and we onlyuse trusted, experienced installerswho are CRB/DBS checked andknow how to work courteouslywithin school environments.

STEP 4 : Play

Once everything is installed, theareas will be inspected to ensurethey are safe to be used.

Then it is over to your children toget as much use and enjoyment asthey can. You will receive acomplete PGCO maintenance packto help you look after your newequipment and along with thestandard warranties provided, you will also receive a 12-monthworkmanship guarantee. After theproject is completed we will checkin with you from time to time tomake sure you and the children arehappy with everything.

PLAYGROUND HEALTH & SAFETYINSPECTIONS

In today’s society it is important tounderstand that owning or operatinga play area comes with certainresponsibilities. In order to maintaina safe playing environment andreducing the risk of claims andlitigation we strongly recommendthat you have your playgroundinspected to ensure that it is

compliant with current health and safety standards: PlaygroundEquipment and PlaygroundSurfacing : BS EN 1176 & 1177. The Playground Company offerindependent post installation andannual playground inspections. All of the inspections are carried out by fully qualified inspectors tothe highest possible level by the RPII (Register of Play InspectorsInternational).

We willalways provide you with a productspecific guarantee at the point ofquotation and all of our installedproducts come with our standard 12month workmanship guarantee.Below you will find a simple list ofour current guarantees against anymanufacturing defect:

NB: All our timber products areconstructed with play grade qualitytimber which is pressure treated and guaranteed for 10 years againstrot and insect infestation, howeverthis is a natural product and is likely to move and split as theproduct matures.

The above guarantees excludeaccidental damage, general wear andtear, incorrect installation by nonPGCO installers and vandalism.

Third Party PlaygroundInspections:

Our play products and safetysurfacing are designed and installedto BS EN 1176 & 1177 and we willalways rectify any defect within theguarantee period of the product freeof charge, should the play equipmentor surfacing fail to meet thesestandards. However, due toincreasing numbers of unregisteredplay inspectors PGCO Ltd onlyrecognise inspection reportscompleted by RPII (register of PlayInspectors International,www.playinspectors.com) registeredinspectors. RPII inspectors have tohave undergone training andexamination or have been able todemonstrate the required experienceand skills in order for them to beincluded on the register. Both RoSPA(www.rospa.com) and The PlayInspection Company(www.pi2inspection.co.uk) haveregistered inspectors with RPII andare able to provide furtherinformation regarding play safetyand inspection.

HEALTH & SAFETY

Safety is paramount in the design,manufacture and installation of ourproducts, ensuring we comply withEuropean Standard (EN1176 / 1177).A family run business with smallchildren of our own, we will notknowingly promote, sell and installany playground equipment,furniture or service that we wouldnot be totally happy with for ourown children to use. Our companyhas fully comprehensive publicliability insurances and a copy of ourinsurance certificates can beprovided upon request and technicalrisk assessments and methodstatements can be provided ifrequired.

PAYMENT METHODS

In most cases invoices will be issuedto our customers upon satisfactorycompletion of the installation /delivery of our playground products.We request that the invoice is settledin full within 30 days from the dateof issue. In some circumstances ThePlayground Company will requestpayment to be paid in part or fullbefore our products will bedespatched for delivery orinstallation. The PlaygroundCompany will accept payments bycheque (made payable to PGCO Ltd),BACS transfer, credit and debit cards

(payments made by credit or debitcard will be subject to an additional3.5% total invoice value surcharge).For more information on paymentmethods, please call and speak toone of our office team.
