Born and educated in London, I joined the Household Cavalry at the age of 18. My wife and I moved to Chard 40 years ago where we have run a riding stables in Av-ishayes Ward and been licensees of the Bell and Crown. During this time I have been a member of many local clubs and organisations and have gained insight into dealing with the public and listening to problems and issues. I have always been aware and interested in local issues and at the last elections I de-cided to take a stand for what I believe in, rather than just talk about it. This election I believe is my time. Vote for me to be your Avishayes Town and District Councillor.

Fighting to stop unfair parking policies

For too long Chard has paid for park-ing when other parts of the District have not! Living in the centre of town I am aware of the problems of local businesses and residents in relation to parking charges. We can get more people to come into town with a free period of parking. I will campaign for more visible policing of our open spaces and town centre to prevent outbreaks of noise and nuisance, which occur particularly in the late evening and cause older people to feel unable to leave their homes. This also means extra work for our street cleaning teams.
