1. College Specific– Many colleges have their own scholarships– GPA and specific majors often a big factor
2. Ethnic or Race-Based– Scholarships for underrepresented students
3. Corporations– Employees’ children, attract/retain employees
4. Athletic– For many sports

5. High School or School District – Counselor often has info on these scholarships
6. Academic or Merit-Based– Often offered by colleges
7. Religious Organizations/Church/Mosque/etc. – Sometimes easier to qualify for
