Caldwell rocks returns on Saturday, July 14. This highly-charged one-day rhythm section workshop is open to all guitar and bass players, keyboardists, and drummers. Students learn from, and perform with, a professional rhythm section. The day begins at 9:00 Am and ends by 4:00 Pm, culminating in a concert open to friends and family.

2018 summer intensive percussion campThe Caldwell University 7th Annual Summer Intensive Percussion Camp, directed by Alex Bocchino, will run Monday through Saturday, July 16-21. This highly successful camp engages students ages 13 and up and is located on the beautiful campus of Caldwell University. Participants are immersed in the percussion world through active participation in ensembles and clinics, interaction with professionals and experiencing engaging performances on campus and beyond.

World renowned drummers and percussionists have presented a variety of percussion styles at the camp including: Tommy Igoe (Birdland All Stars), Chuck Burgi (Billy Joel), Mark Guiliana (David Bowie), Andres Forero (Phish/Hamilton), Joe Bergamini (Broadway), Rolando Morales-Matos (The Lion King), Dom Famularo (Global Drum Ambassador), Dennis Delucia (DCI Hall of Fame), Glen Fittin (Bernie Worrell), and more.

Participants travel off campus to hear great music played by leading musicians in the New York metropolitan area. In past years the group has visited Manhattan’s renowned Birdland Jazz Club to hear artists including Tommy Igoe and Rolando Morales-Matos, and the Birdland Big Band.
