Five Percussion Faculty • Opportunity • Well-Rounded Training• Each student, over time, will study with each of the five NKU percussion faculty in their areas of expertise. We

believe that undergrads should learn to be well-rounded players to become better musicians and have the ability to take a variety of opportunities throughout their career.

• The arts-rich Cincinnati/Northern KY area provides students ample opportunities to see world-class performers on a regular basis. With 52 high schools in the area, ALL of our students who want to teach local drumlines or teach privately, do so. Through faculty connections, top students often get a chance to perform at a professional level. ALL lessons, ensembles, and courses are taught by professionals; no TAs!

• NKU Music Degrees include: Bachelor of Music in Performance (Instrumental, Voice, Piano Pedagogy, or Jazz Studies); Bachelor of Music Education (Instrumental, Choral/Vocal); Bachelor of Music in Composition; Bachelor of Arts in Music (Audio Production, or Liberal Studies); Music Minor. NKU Music also welcomes non-majors to most ensembles. Arrangements can be made for NKU students to march in the University of Cincinnati Marching Band.
