Problem identification: Nowadays many people have misconceptions over

Islam due to certain reasons.

The project is about the perceptions, reality and facts of Islam practiced in Malaysia.

The audience may be exposed with the bitter-truth about Muslims in Malaysia, the perceptions of the Muslims towards their religion, the perceptions of Non-Muslims towards Islam and also the positivity and the negativity of the life of Muslims in Malaysia.

Islam has been accused as a race (eg: Islam = Malays / Islam = Arabs)

Many who call themselves Muslims being too arrogant for having a faith in the religion

Arrogant with the religion but does not even know the real teaching of Islam

Islam has been accused as a terror religion due to its followers behavior

Examples of Perceptions of Muslims

1. All those who call themselves as Muslims will end up in heaven no matter how sinful they are. (are you

suuuuuure?)

2. Malay = Islam (and vice-versa)

3. It’s okay to ask for something from “something else” (black magic/bomoh) other than God as long as you call yourself a Muslim

4. Dogs and pigs are sensitive; alcohol-not very much

From all the perceptions, there will be Quranic verses and Hadiths (the prophet’s sayings) to prove what is right and what is wrong. Example:-

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, “A prostitute was forgiven by Allah, because, passing by a panting dog near a well and seeing that the dog was about to die of thirst, she took off her shoe, and tying it with her head-cover she drew out some water for it. So, Allah forgave her because of that.”

The hadith above is about being kind to animals, including dogs.
