HOPE Scholarship Changes for the Class of 2007

• Students must have a 3.0 average for CP diplomas or a 3.2 average for Technical diplomas.

• Hope GPA eligibility and weighting of courses determined by the Georgia Student Finance Commission

• Core credits counted to calculate all credits attempted in English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Foreign Language (CP only), core electives included

• Courses weighted in GPA calculation in AP only.• Covers tuition, fees, & book allowance at Georgia public

institutions• Pays $3000.00 + a tuition equalization to Georgia private

institutions• Based on grades, not on need• Must maintain a 3.0 GPA in college
