Introduction

This is a system created by Taekwondo people for taekwondo family people. We use the scoring

system in all our classes, just like you. Taekwondo sparring fuels our passion and making the

application better and simple is our passion. If you are reading this document we assume you

already know what Taekwondo sparring is, and as most of us you know that in Taekwondo sport

tournaments each kick and punch should count. This application is not just a new sparing scoring

system or just any scoring system. It was created from the necessity of a low cost solution for small

clubs like the one where we used to train in too. It was created to help Taekwondo community, to

promote Taekwondo sparing and to resolve the Taekwondo clubs biggest issue of the day.

The first version was created a few years ago to provide an effective, professional low cost solution

with the same benefits and feeling experience, or even providing a better experience than any

existing wired professional tournament solution. The scope of this solution was to allow our

grandmasters, masters, students and parents to setup on a spot everytime and everywhere in our

classes a sparring tournament in no time and with the lowest possible cost ever.

As expected the “TKD Scoring Wi-Fi” system is composed from a few components:

TKD Scoring Wi-Fi Server

TKD Scoring Wi-Fi Client

TKD Scoring Wi-Fi Remote Score Display

What makes our system special and unique?

There are two rules describing our scoring system.

- Rule number one: the kick, punch and turning kick are converted by click, click and swipe

click in points.

- Rule number two: it’s free for organizer and it’s not expensive for participants.

Taking advantage of the new large used mobile technologies the new, unique wireless Taekwondo

referee scoring system represents a very low cost, professional and time efficient solution for all kind

or Taekwondo sparing activities. Are you a small club with a limited budget, a group of students

organizing an ad hoc competition on a spot at the end of the taekwondo class or waiting for the class

to start, or are you a big tournament organizer that likes to promote taekwondo and willing to

provide a free enjoyable and entraining way of spending time, initiating the spectators in taekwondo

sparing referee world and allowed them to experience what the referees experience before the

tournament starts or in the tournaments brake time, than the mobile taekwondo is your solution.

- It takes less than a minute to be ready to start a tournament

- No wires between controllers and servers and no expensive controllers are required

- Unlimited number of referees can participate in at the same time

- Follow the WTF sparing rules

Page 5: TKD Scoring Wi-Fitkdscoringwifi.sourceforge.net/instructions/Instructions.pdfTKD Scoring Wi-Fi (a unique Taekwondo Sparing Wireless Scoring solution) User Manual (Server, Mobile Referee

- Easy tunning for beginner and advanced referees

- Automatic updates for sparing rules and software patches

- Fully customizable

- Minimum configuration required

- No computer expertise necessary to setup the system

The system highlights

- Professional and 100% reliable scoring for tournaments

- The lowest cost ever for a professional taekwondo scoring system;

- It creates a new, unbelievable and unique opportunity for taekwondo family students to

have fun and joy.

- Supports unlimited number of referees; all students and parents attending or assisting to a

class can became a referee on a spot. You are a parent or a student, no more complains

about referees, you will score as a referee does. It’s you who decide to get involved and to

score at any time. Open the mobile, register the mobile with the server and start scoring.

You can finally do it, you can influence the score.

- Promotes taekwondo sparing in small clubs giving the opportunity to all students to

experience the competitors and referees competition world in a professional way.

Low Cost solution

Sharing the cost between the club and the students makes it a cost effective solution. The club is responsible eventually to provide a mobile device like a tablet, a mobile phone or an old computer (Windows, Linux, UNIX, Mac OS X, etc. ) as a server. Each student or parent who likes to get involved and has an Android or IPhone mobile phone can buy the low cost referee client software and use his own mobile as a controller.

Ad hoc tournament ready to go

At any time after the initial setup is done you should be able to setup and start a tournament in no time. You already know practice is everything taekwondo is about. Like Taekwondo sparing the Taekwondo referee is the same, it requires some degree of practice for participants. Unlike Taekwondo that takes years of practice, from our experience anybody can became familiar with our system in no more than a few minutes and master the application in less than a few games.

Read before you buy any Wi-Fi referee license

To work properly, this application requires Wi-Fi and multicast to be available in your mobile.

Before you buy any license for the referee mobile please test your mobile using the trial mode to be

sure your mobile phone supports our application. If you are proper connected and have your mobile

set to Wi-Fi and you cannot successfully view the servers list in your “Servers Setup” menu, then

don’t buy this product. There are mobile phone manufactures that do not support all Android

functions. Also, there are mobile phone operators/service providers that can disable functions on

your Android or IPhone.

User Manual:

The application scope was to create a simple, intuitive referee controller with much simple and clear

instruction than any existing hardware controller ever used in competitions that requires zero time

to learn how to use it and no practice to master it. Our project scope was to have anybody, any

tournament attendant from children to grandparents to be able to start and use it on a spot with no

training or practice atoll. And this is what we did. There are just two instructions for the referees:

Tap and Swipe.

When the competitors kick or punch the referee has to:

1. TAP the red or blue area of the screen for a body or head kick.

2. Swipe the red or blue area of the screen for a turning kick to award extra points.

득점은 허용기술로 몸통득점 부위를 정확하고 강하게, 머리 부위는 득점부위를 정확하게 가격 한

것으로 한다.

Points shall be awarded when permitted techniques are delivered accurately and powerfully to the legal scoring areas of body and accurately to the legal scoring areas of head.

득점은 다음과 같이 분류된다.

The valid points are divided as following:

몸통 1점

One (1) point for a valid attack on trunk protector

3.2 몸통 회전차기 2점

3.2 Two (2) points for a valid turning kick to the trunk protector

3.3 머리 3점

3.3 Three (3) points for a valid kick to the head

3.4 머리 회전차기 4점

3.4 Four (4) points for a valid turning kick to the head

Scoring

부심제일 때는 2인 이상, 4부심제일 때는 3인 이상의 부심이 인정하는 점수를 유효득점으로

인정한다.

In case of using three (3) judges, valid points shall be those scored by two or more judges while as well as valid points shall be those scored by at least three or more judges in case of using four (4) judges.

Hardware requirement

There are no special hardware requirements. Like any system, it still has to have a basic hardware

that supports it.

As expected the two minimum required equipments are the server and the controllers.

As you didn’t expect, you don’t have to buy any hardware as you will find out what hardware is

required below. Unlike with the old scoring systems where you had to buy the controllers, the server

plus a bunch of adaptors and cables, with “TKD Scoring Wi-Fi” you don’t have to invest any money in

hardware.

The Server:

It can be a tablet, a mobile phone or any old Laptop. TKD Scoring Wi-Fi For PC is running in any

Windows, Linux, Mac, Unix machine running Java JRE 1.6 or newer. Before you unzip and run our

application make sure you have Java running. Java is free and can be downloaded from Internet.

(http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp or http://www.java.com)

The referee’s controller:

Any existing Android mobile phone is a referee controller that can run TKD Scoring Wi-Fi Client. An

IPhone version is also under development and will be release shortly after Android release.

Remote Score display

Do you run a competition? Yes you do. Then you need at least one more remote display. And

because we need it too, we also created the apps for remote score display and we can provide this

to you too.

Our Remote Score Display software allowed you to display the score in any remote TV set or

computer display. Using your Google box, your mobile phone, or any dedicated brand-new

unexpansive Android TV Box (that can be found for less than $30-$40 these days) will help you to

display the score in a remote display too in a very professional and simple manner.

How many we support? The answer is how many you have. You can run a remote display in any

place, in any corner of you completion venue. Just turn it on. No special setup required.

Internationalization

Taekwondo wireless score is not just a multiplatform application. It supports full

internationalization. The server, referee controllers and remote display can use different languages.

Are you running an international competition? If this is the case there is no problem at all.

The controllers can be configured in any of available languages for each referee.

The server may use a different language

Before you begin the installation

Please read the following information before you start the installation and setup

1. Before you can connect to a Score Server system with a Mobile Referee Client, you must

register it with the Score Server.

2. The mobile license is transferable from one device to the other. If you upgrade your mobile

device you can reinstall the application and use it with your new device without having to

buy a new license. You cannot use the old and the new device at the same time after the

licence transfer.

3. The server and the mobile client can be used for a free-trial for unlimited time with a single

unlicensed mobile client only.

4. In trial mode, all mobile referee features are available for unlimited time with no

restrictions.

5. In trial mode the server will accept a single (only one) unlicensed mobile device.

6. Any time you connect an unlicensed client to the server, the server will automatic switch to

trial mode.

7. In trial mode the numbers of judges that have to press almost on the same time a red or

blue button within a predetermined amount of time to score a point will be changed to ONE.

This is the only limitation for the server trial mode. Other way no points will be scored.

8. To license a referee mobile client device you have to upgrade your mobile referee software

to a premium version.

9. In competition mode you can have up to 8 mobile referees registered on the same time for

the same server (court).

10. Each mobile client connected to the same server has to have an individual license. The

system does not support connecting more than one mobile device with a same license.

Please note: Two mobile referees connecting to the same server and using the same license

will function improperly; the devices transmissions will interfere with each other, they will

overwrite each other points and will record an inaccurate score.

11. If you transfer the license to a new mobile device you have to remove the old registered

device from the server referees list prior to register the new mobile device. Please note the

old and the new device cannot be used at the same time. You cannot also use the software

with two mobiles client using the same Google store email address. The mobile devices will

share the same license.

Page 11: TKD Scoring Wi-Fitkdscoringwifi.sourceforge.net/instructions/Instructions.pdfTKD Scoring Wi-Fi (a unique Taekwondo Sparing Wireless Scoring solution) User Manual (Server, Mobile Referee

TKD Scoring Wi-Fi (a unique Taekwondo Sparing Wireless Scoring solution)

User Manual (Server, Mobile Referee and Remote display) Page 11

Auto-reconnection may be very resource intensive and can drain your battery much faster. If

you have constantly disconnections and/or network errors you should enable it.

12. Your 100% success requires a reliable WIFI access point. You can use one of the mobile. In

our tests using one of the mobiles or the server android tablet as access point proves to be

100% reliable. However you are not limited and you can use a dedicated AP or other

solutions.

13. Be sure your Wi-Fi Access point or firewall don’t block the traffic in for the following TCP

ports:

a. 12345,

b. 12346 and

c. 12347

These ports are required by our application to communicate. If the mobile cannot find the

server or cannot send points to the server please check your Wi-Fi access point

configuration.

14. As a good practice don’t start the server and the Referee Client software at the same mobile

phone or tablet. You may end up trying to connect to your own mobile server running in

your local mobile. This will be hard to debug it.

15. Don’t try to connect a not licensed Client to server with licensed clients as this will simply

not work.

16. Even if the system is very simple, taking in consideration the big number of mobile makers

and service providers, you can have unique unexpected issues. From our experience if

something doesn’t work and starts to make no sense during the installation, please restart

all your components and start again. A fresh start may save you few hours or days of work.

System setup

1. Basic setup

The TKD Scoring Wi-Fi system requires all devices to be connected on the same Wi-Fi local network.

The Server, Remote Score Display and Referees client should connect to the same Wi-Fi Access

Point.

For most of the clubs for using up to 4 or 8 mobiles referees, you don’t need a specialized Access

Point hardware. Setup a mobile phone for Wi-Fi Tether is very easy. Please see the next section

“Using a Mobile phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot (tethering)” for details. It's no more difficult to connect a

mobile to a hotspot Smartphone than it is to connect your mobile to a home or Wi-Fi router.

Wi-Fi is a popular communication technology that allows mobile device to exchange data wirelessly. There are

lots of Access points available including basic WI-FI hotspot implemented by mobile phones. Is your

responsibility to choose the right technology for your club base on the number of referees and the level of

security you like to have.

We are not responsible for your data connection / network security and/or internet configurations and

unexpected charges that can be registered from a wrongfully configured network.

Wi-Fi allows cheaper deployment in spaces where cables cannot be run. Mobile phones and most laptops are

integrated wireless network adapters.

Wi-Fi networks have limited range. A typical wireless access point might have a range of 32 m (120 ft) to 95 m

(300 ft). Range also varies with the manufacture and frequency band.

Your referee mobile devices should be connected via wireless to the same router which serves you

server.

We assume you already know how to connect your PC, Tablet and/or mobile phones to the same

wireless network or WI-FI hotspot. If you didn’t connect yet your mobiles please consult your mobile

phone or Laptop documentation.

You have to be sure your device stays connected to Wi-Fi during the operations other way your

application can not send score points to the server.

Using a Mobile phone as a Wi-Fi hotspot (tethering)

This information we provide is just a basic introduction for people familiarized with Wi-Fi technologies. We do

not support and is not our intention to teach you how to connect your devices in a Wi-Fi network. If you have

trouble connecting your mobiles with in a Wi-Fi network and/or you need more information about how to

configure correct and debug your Wi-Fi connections please consult your hardware documentation, call your

service provider or request assistance from a network specialist.

Depending on your model of Android or IPhone device, you may be able to enable your phone “tethering” by

turning your mobile phone into a portable Wi-Fi hotspot with up to five or 8 mobile devices.

You can turn most of the Android mobiles and tablets into a portable Wi-Fi hotspot and connect up to eight

devices at once. (Please note not all mobile and tablets support these features.). Mobile phones tethering

functions are packed with security features such as encryption and access control.

For details please check your mobile device documentation or Search the internet about “Android Devices:

Tethering and Portable Wi-Fi Hotspots” and you will find a lots of tutorials about how to do a simple Wi-Fi

configuration.

For advanced users you can also create a network connection for your referees via Bluetooth or other

technologies.

Important notes and recommendations about tethering and data cost

Please note, when you use the mobile or tablet as a Wi-Fi hotspot, you share your device's internet mobile

data connection with the other referees connected mobile devices and they can use your connection to

browse and download anything from the internet.

To avoid unexpected charges from your provider be sure you STOP your data connection(3G/4G etc..) in the

mobile used as WI-FI access point or be sure the mobile used as WI-FI gateway has NO data plan.

We are not responsible for your data/network or internet configuration and unexpected charges.

As you may already know there are two versions of the server, the Android version for Tablets and

the PC version for Windows, Mac, Linux, Unix and other operating system.

The server interface and setup menus for Android Server and the PC server version are very similar

but not identical.

Figure 1 - Server Ready for new Game

The server will always display the round number, the round time left, or the length of the timeout or

game pause.

After the referees registration the following operation instruction applies to the system:

To start the game you just have to touch the main area of the screen.

To stop the game you have to touch the main area of the screen.

To pause the games just touch the main area of the screen again.

To restart a game is different. You have to touch Reset Game button.

3. TKD Scoring Wi-Fi Server “for PC” setup

The PC server setup is very similar with the Android Table Server. It supports any operating system

that runs the standard Java JRE 1.6 and up.

The install and deployment of the server is different.

The PC version displays a set of 8 control blocks that blink when a referee clicks a controller. Even if

the server supports unlimited number of referees, just the first 8 referees will have a feedback of

their clicks. The number in each block matches the index of the referee in the referees setup block.

To make the identification much easier the blokes blinking alternates the white and the yellow

colours. For example referee 1 will blink yellow and referee 2 will blink white.

In this case, the score between the competitors determines the winner. When there is a max point gap between the competitors, the match will be stopped and a winner declared.

Point Ceiling

Win by Superiority. When a competitor scores a maximum of ‘Ceiling Points’, the match shall be stopped and a winner declared.

3.3. Server “Referees Setup” Panel

The server “Referee setup” panel helps you to manage the mobile referee devices connected to the server and available to the referees for scoring.

Remember: At any time you have to add a new referee mobile device you

have to open this panel first in order to do it.

Other available options:

You can delete an old mobile device

You can temporary disable a mobile device.

You can enable an already disabled device.

4.1. Servers Setup

Connecting to a score server is the first step in order to use the controller.

To do this you have to choose the “Server Setup” properties Section.

As expected you cannot be connected to more than one server at a time

Auto Reconnection

If the option “Auto Reconnection” is enabled the device will constantly communicate with the

server and if the connection fails it automatic reconnect when the connection is lost.

If the option “Auto Reconnection” is disabled the device will expect the connection to be OK and

in the event of a connection failure when the referee tap the red or blue button the point may not

be submitted and the error message will be displayed.

Our recommendation is to keep this option enabled. However enabling this option may drain

your battery much faster in the referee device.

If your network is very reliable and you don’t notify any network communication errors on your

screen you can disable this option.

Please note:

This option is disabled and cannot be changed (enabled or disabled) when the mobile

scan for servers.

Servers Scanning and Connection

After you open this panel the client will start scanning for servers.

If it does not start automatic you can click properties and Scan option manually in your

android mobile phone.

If your server is started, after less than 30 sec you should view the name of your Scoring

Server in the list.

If your server was not started you have to

o start your server and

o open the “Referee Setup” panel in your server

o Scan again for server

Click the server name.

A dialog box will open with two options. “Connect” and “Close”

Click “Connect”

Please wait for the registration to finish before you continue. Don’t touch the server

console or the referee mobile. The registration may take between one second and up to

30 sec if the reconnection is enabled.

When the registration is finished: the referee name will be displayed in the referees list of

your server console and the referee mobile will automatic change back to main screen.

4.2. User Setup

The most important options are User Name and Four/Two buttons selections.

User Name:

This is the name the device will be identified in the Server Referees list. It should be unique for all

referees connected to the same server.

Four/Two buttons

You can configure the Layout to have 2 or 4 buttons,

4 Points for swipe Head key

Award an extra point for turning kicks when you swipe the head Key

2 Points for swipe Body key

Award an extra point for turning kicks when you swipe the head Key

User Setup contains also most if the personal preferences as activation for vibration feedback,

changing the red and blue colour side.

5. TKD Scoring Wi-Fi – “Remote Score Display” Setup

Please note the very first release does not support multiple servers (just one court) in the same

network. An update with support multiple courts will be released shortly. We are keen to make

it as simple as version one keeping the configuration as much simple as possible.

Expected new functions under work for version two are:

- Language selection

- Court selection

Back to version one. This version has no configuration required. Just start and go.

Figure 4 - Remote Score Display

How to use the version one?

Be sure you have just one server started

Install the remote display software in any Android device like Google Box, a Tablet, or an

Android Phone

Start the application.

Done. Enjoy the score display.

System Security

The security is base on your WIFI Access Point security configuration. Our application is encrypting

the traffic between server and remote referees but it is not securing your WI-FI network access and it

is your responsibility to control the access to your wireless network.

Most WI-FI Access Points has gotten easy enough security for a thought security. Taking a few extra

steps to configure the security features of your wireless router or mobile access point will always be a

good idea.

Knowledge Base

1. The score is never changing but the control lights blink every time for a

server with a single registered referee

Description

You are using the trial mode or you have a single licensed mobile registered with your server. You

click the red or blue button and the control light blink one time on the server screen. No score is

changing.

Reason

The most common reason this issue is if you setup the minimum number of referees to score almost

on the same time to a number higher than 1(one).

Solution

You cannot set this number higher than the number of referees you registered. Please change to

value to one (1) and try again.

Page 27: TKD Scoring Wi-Fitkdscoringwifi.sourceforge.net/instructions/Instructions.pdfTKD Scoring Wi-Fi (a unique Taekwondo Sparing Wireless Scoring solution) User Manual (Server, Mobile Referee

2. The score is not changing but the control lights blink every time for a

server with more than one registered referees

Description

You have more licensed mobile referees scoring. You click the red or blue button and the control

light blink one time on the server screen every single time you touch your mobile screen. However

no score is changing even all the referees are clicking almost on the same time.

Reason

You can set the number of judges that have to press almost on the same time a red or blue button

within a predetermined amount of time to score a point in your server console. Also you can tune

your predetermined amount of time the referees should press the buttons to validate the score

points.

There are two most common reasons for this issue.

if you setup the minimum number of judges to score higher than 2(two) or the total number

or referees;

if your WIFI network or your server are too slow and they cannot process the information

just in time;

Solution

Our recommendations are:

For a server with one referee set the value to one (1).

For any server with more than one referees set the value to two (2).

If this doest fix the problem than start turning your response time increasing the predetermined

amount of time the referees should press the buttons.

Do a few tests using two referees and find your best value.

Please note a value too big for this value will produce an inquire score. We recommend using a big

value, maybe over one second when you start using the system if you have unexperienced referees,

not familiar with the system and start lowering the value after the referees start having experience

and they click almost at the same time.

3. The control light never blinks and no score changes

Description

You are using the trial or completion mode. You click the red or blue button and the control light

doesn’t blink and no score is updated.

Reason

The most common reason this issue is a WIFI network communication.

Solution

Be sure the network connectivity for server and clients woks properly and the mobile clients are

correct configured.

To open these ports is mandatory for our application. In order for the system to work property, be

sure your Wi-Fi Access point or firewalls don’t block the traffic for any of the following TCP ports:

a. 12345,

b. 12346 and

c. 12347

These ports are required by our application for communication. If the mobile cannot find the server

or it cannot connect to send points to the server please verify your Wi-Fi configurations.

4. Error message: “Your license key is already in use.”

Description

This message appears because the License used by this mobile device appears to be already in use

for a different mobile. A Unique Mobile Client Access License that legally permits mobile clients to

connect to the Scoring server is required for each device.

Reason

The most common reason this message can appear is if you upgraded your mobile device recently

and/or you are using the same mobile owner email address for more than one device.

Solution

If you recently replaced or reinstalled your device and you are the owner of the licence, please

remove the old registration from the Scoring Server in order to re-register this mobile device.

5. Error message: “Server Connection Lost (IP: ...)”

Description

This message appears on the mobile client screen because the mobile application fails to

communicate successful with the scoring server. No control light blinks on the server screen for this

referee and no point will are scored by this mobile client.

Reason

The most common reason this message can appear is if the server is not started or there is a

problem with your WIFI network.

Solution

The server must be running before a server application can be accessed. If the error message is

received every single time you click the red or blue button is very likely to be a problem with your

server; verify first if the server is running. If it’s running please check if other mobile users can still

connect.

a. If other users can connect, restart your mobile and try again. Be sure your mobile is

connected to the same WIFI Access Point and there is no firewall that the

communication between your mobile and the server.

b. If the other users cannot connect too, than restart your server and try again.

c. If your Access point supports dual mode (2.5G and 5G), deactivate one mode and

connect all devices to the same Access Point using the same protocol.

If the problem is not resolved, please request a network technician help to check and debug your

network connection, your wireless configurations, your WIFI Access Point.

Description

You click the red or blue button and you receive the above message. Your servers list is empty.

Reason

In order for a mobile client to be usable it has to be registered with a Score server. The most possible

causes are:

The application was just installed

You removed all servers you been registered with from your servers list

Your subsection was removed from server by the server administrator.(You have to register

again)

Solution

1. Start the server.

2. Navigate to the 'Referee Setup' panel. You can reach the panel in the server menu bar.

7. Error message: “The server is not in referee registration mode!”

Description

You try to connect a mobile client with a new server. The server is successfully discovered by the

mobile client. You select the server and click ‘Connect’. After a few second you receive this message

and the registration fails.

Reason

The server admin has to have access to control the registered mobiles. To be sure nobody can

register a new mobile without the admin acceptance; the server must be in 'Referees Setup' mode in

order to proceed.

At any time you have to register a new mobile device with a server, the server must be opened in

8. I still get the error “The server is not in referee registration mode!” when

the server is in “Referee Setup” Panel

Description

You try to select a mobile client with a new server. You opened the server “Referee Registration”

panel. The server is successfully discovered by the mobile client. You selected the server and click

‘Connect’. After a few seconds you received this message again and the registration fails.

Reason

When this issue happened to us we were trying to connect to a wrong server. We had a server

running in background in one of our mobile devices having the same name as the server we were

trying to connect.

Solution

The full guaranteed solution to make sure the server is not running in background in any of your

devices is to restart all your mobile devices and any Laptop or PC you are using. After you reset all

devices please try again.

9. The referee mobile registration with the server takes long time

Description

You try to select a mobile client with a new server. You opened the server “Referee Registration”

panel as per our instructions. The server is successfully discovered by the mobile client. You select

the server and click ‘Connect’. For some mobiles takes just 1 to 3 seconds for registration. The other

mobile the registration is timing out or takes up to 30 seconds.

Reason

One of the reasons may be Auto-reconnection function. The client is trying first to stop and remove

the current server connection. After the current connection is successfully closed (or deleted) the

client will start the new mobile registration.

Solution

If your client time-out during the registration you can temporary disable Auto-Reconnection before

you start the registration and enable it back after the registration is successfully.

Page 33: TKD Scoring Wi-Fitkdscoringwifi.sourceforge.net/instructions/Instructions.pdfTKD Scoring Wi-Fi (a unique Taekwondo Sparing Wireless Scoring solution) User Manual (Server, Mobile Referee

10. The referee mobile registration time-out. Auto-Reconnection is disabled.

Description

You try to connect your new mobile client with a server. You opened the server “Referee

Registration” panel as per our instructions. The Auto-Reconnect is disabled. If auto-reconnection is

enabled we recommend to temporary disable it.

The server is successfully discovered by the mobile client. You select the server and click ‘Connect’.

Some other mobiles connect successful. This mobile time-out or the application fails to respond.

Reason

You may have a firewall in your mobile device, in your server or in your Wi-Fi access point block

some of the TCP/IP traffic. Our wireless client/server application is using TCP/IP communication and

if any of the components blocks the traffic the mobile will not be able to connect to the server.

The Server discovery, Server registration and Server connection during the game are using different

protocols and it is possible to get working the discovery but to not be able to register or use the

controller after the registration.

In order for the system to work property, be sure your Wi-Fi Access point or firewalls don’t block the

traffic for any of the following TCP ports: 12345, 12346 and 12347

These ports are required by our application for communication.

Solution

To open these ports is mandatory for our application. In order for the system to work property, be

sure your Wi-Fi Access point or firewalls don’t block the traffic for any of the following TCP ports:

d. 12345,

e. 12346 and

f. 12347

These ports are required by our application for communication. If the mobile cannot find the server

or it cannot connect to send points to the server please verify your Wi-Fi configurations.
