The construction industry is a fast-growing, highly-paid field that includes commercial and resi- dential construction; cabinetry; carpet, floor and tile installation; roofing; construction manage- ment and many other careers. Careers in construction can include working for large or small construction companies or owning your own construction company. Is construction the right career for you? - Do you like to work outdoors? - Are you good at working with your hands? - Do you like being physically active? - Are you interested in planning and building using “green” technology? - Do you enjoy working as part of a team? - Are you interested in having skills that can travel with you anywhere? If you answered “yes” to these questions, you should consider enrolling in the construction tech- nology program at the new Providence Career and Technical High School. This new school is one of New England’s finest technical high schools, offering students a blend of the best of a traditional high school and state-of-the-art training in a construction lab. When you graduate from the construction technology program, you will receive both a high school diploma and certification in construction technology.
