INTERACT CLUB

OF PAWLING Sponsored By: Pawling Recreation & Pawling Rotary Club

President: Kelly Koerner

Vice President: Matthew LaBarbera

Secretary: Amanda Scoca

Treasurer: Brianne Scoca

“The Interact Club of Pawling is a community service club for high

school students, sponsored by Pawling Recreation and Pawling

Rotary. As a self-governing group, the Interact Club’s 50+ members

attend weekly meetings, volunteer at community events, and

organize fundraisers for local and international organizations.

Since February of 2011, the Interact Club has raised over $30,000 for

various charities and scholarships. Many of the Interact Club’s

annual fundraisers include a pancake breakfast, which has helped

raise money for the Astor Home for Children and Operation Smile,

as well as organizing Halloween parties and Easter egg hunts for

families throughout the community. The Interact Club worked together with Pawling Rotary at Choco-

latefest, during which they blended milkshakes to raise money for the Xeroderma Pigmentosum Society

and Camp Sundown. The club’s members also frequently took trips to the Ronald McDonald House,

where they prepared home cooked meals for the families staying at

the facility, as well as hosting college visits in the area for Pawling High

School students. The goal of The Interact Club of Pawling is to aid not

only our local community but also those around the world, and since

its founding, we have not fallen short of this goal.”

-Meredith Clark, 2016-2017 School Year Interact Club President

The meetings are held on Tuesdays from 7:00—8:00pm at the Lathrop

Building. In September, prospective members are invited to an

informational meeting about the Interact Club. More information will

follow.

Dutcher Golf Course

The Town of Pawling has long been considered "The Pride of the

Harlem Valley" for many reasons. Having the oldest municipally owned golf

course in the country has provided us with added notoriety outside of our

boundaries. To this day, the par 34 course offers majestic views of the

Harlem Valley along with historic stone walls from the centuries old farm

land. With a second set of offset tee boxes that give players a different

course layout, the Dutcher allows golfers of all skill levels to play a full

round of eighteen holes at much lower rates than surrounding courses.
