I started working for Ensco in 2009 as a Roustabout and very quickly gained promotion to Floorman in 2010.
Duties included:
Handling drilling tools and tubular on the rig floor for the purpose of making up/breaking down drill string, riser and other drilling systems
Man shale shakers (mud weights etc) Connection & dismantling of xmas trees on production platform Manriding operations Measure valves & pipe joints Assist Driller in all rig floor operations Good housekeeping Participate in toolbox talks Change mud pump liners & seals in pump room Maintaining all equipment on rig floor/greasing main block & manifold system Mixing chemicals Worked manual Derrick Dismantling/rebuild of BOP Hold regular safety meetings in my role as Drill Crew Safety Rep
