knit 56 sts along lower edge of Bonnet. Work 4 rows garter
st (knit every row). Cast off. Make ribbon rosettes (see page
7) and sew to Bonnet as illustrated. Sew marked rows tog.
Fold along Picot row to WS and sew cast on edge into posi-
tion. Sew on ribbon ties as illustrated.
Booties
With larger needles, cast on 49 sts.
Work 4 rows even in stocking st.

Beg with a purl row, work 5 rows in stocking st, inc 1 st at
end of last row. 50 sts.
Proceed in Panel Pat as follows:

Pattern Ratings
Easy Means an easy knit. This includes knit and purl stitches with some basic increasing
and decreasing.
Intermediate Means an average knit. These require some specialized knowledge, such as color
block, fair isle or aran techniques. They may also require the ability to keep conti-
nuity of simple pattern stitches during shaping.
Advanced Means a challenge knit. These will require the ability to keep continuity of pattern
