PARTNER GUIDE
132ND ANNIVERSARY AWARDS GALA OCTOBER 19TH, 2019
THANK YOU MESSAGEGreetings, Thank you for your interest in being a partner for our 32nd Anniversary Awards Gala. TMCF
has been one of the leading advocates for the nearly 300,000 students that attend our 47
member-schools that include publicly-supported Historically Black Colleges & Universities
(HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs) across the country.
TMCF has had many successes over the years and we are very proud of our hard work and
progress, but we’re not done yet! We continue to support HBCU students, while we focus on
critical areas impacting the HBCU community across the educational continuum, from K-12
programs and teacher quality and retention at one end, to leadership development and career
preparation on the other. Without a strong K-12 pipeline of college-ready students, HBCUs will
not have the quality of students to fill its classrooms and maximize their college experience.
Without leadership development for post-graduation careers, HBCU students cannot succeed
in 21st century jobs. TMCF’s programs at both ends of this spectrum are needed to maintain
HBCUs’ ongoing relevance and legacy.
We at TMCF are dedicated to this work every day, but none of it would be possible without the
unwavering support of a network of committed partners like you. Your generous investments
each year drive TMCF’s success, and help us deliver the success and dreams of the students
we serve.
Our awards gala, recognized as the largest non-political fundraising dinner in Washington,
DC, demonstrates the collective strength of our partners’ support of and belief in the HBCU
community. The event has grown and is now attended by over 1,600 of the best and brightest
HBCU students and alumni, members of congress and other elected officials, Fortune 500
company leadership and supporters, as well as key partners across the HBCU and higher
education communities.
Partnerships provide the opportunity for corporations and individuals to support TMCF’s
critical mission, while positioning their brand in front of a large group of influential professionals
from across the country. Our partners, depending on the level of commitment, receive special
mention/placement on the gala website, printed program inclusion, an online journal ad, and
signage, in addition to attendance at the gala and VIP reception.
Again, thank you for your interest in partnering with us. I am personally looking forward
to seeing you in Washington, DC on Saturday, October 19th to participate in our 32nd
Anniversary Awards Gala.
Sincerely,
Harry L. Williams President & CEO
