    STUDENT SAFETY

LAMA College for Music Professionals is committed to providing a safe learning environment for all of its students, and takes special care to observe and protect underage students visiting LAMA during the summer.

LAMA Summer Xperience students under the age of 18 will be paired in peer groups, led by an adult LAMA mentor. Their mentor will assist them in finding their classes and private lessons, and help them navigate the resources available to students at LAMA. This mentor will be available to the student throughout each day, from the moment they arrive on campus to the moment they leave each evening. We will employ a check-in and check-out system to ensure they’ve been picked up by a guardian or chaperoned back to their hotel at the end of the day. Students will not be supervised once they have been escorted back to their hotel.

Each student attending the program is given an identification card to access LAMA’s Campus facilities.

LAMA security staff members are on duty from 9am to 11pm ensuring that all students attending LAMA are safe and secure on campus.

    FAMILY-FRIENDLY CAMPUS

LAMA College for Music Professionals welcomes the parents, guardians and family members of our LAMA Summer Xperience students on campus and encourages them to participate in the program’s public events. From 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, the LAMA Summer Xperience Family Lounge is open to any parents or guardians that would like to remain on campus while their student attends their class sessions. To access the Summer Xperience Family Lounge, ask your student’s mentor for more information.

Should your student become ill or need a break during the day, this lounge will be available for them to use. The lounge will remain under adult supervision until 6:00 PM everyday should any students require assistance.

    MEAL PLAN DISCOUNT

For students who would not like to go off campus for lunch each day, a $10.00 meal plan per day is available. This meal plan option is merely arranged for the student’s convenience. We encourage students to investigate whatever lunch option best suits their needs and their LAMA mentors are available to assist and escort students if they wish to locate alternative lunch options off-campus. Students are responsible for paying for all off-campus meals. On the first and last day a free lunch will be provided on campus. There is space on the application form to make us aware of any dietary restrictions; however, we are not responsible for ensuring the student follows such restrictions.

    LAX AIRPORT SHUTTLE INFORMATION

Should your student be flying into and out of LAX, they may reserve a seat on the online application form for this discounted rate at one of the following times.
