Book & DVD
Swap
Did you or your kids get new books and DVDs for Christ-
mas? Are the book shelves in your house overflowing with
books or DVDs that your kids have outgrown or just gotten
tired of? Would you like to bless someone with a wonderful
book or Bible study you have read?
You are not alone….
Pathway will be hosting a
Book and DVD Swap
Saturday, January 23rd from 2 pm - 4 pm.
Here are the easy steps you need to take for your family to
participate in this great winter time social event:
1. Bring the books and DVDs you would like to bless an-
other family with to the school anytime during the next 2
weeks (January 12- 22) and drop them off in the appropriate
organizational boxes in the hallway between the foyer andcafeteria.
2. Be sure to put your name and number of books and
DVDs you dropped off on the sign-up sheet so when the
Book Swap occurs on Saturday we will know how manybooks and DVDs you are eligible to take home.
All remaining books and DVDs that are left over after the
swap will be stored for Pathway’s Annual Yard Sale in Au-
gust.
Please invite church friends, neighbors, family members,
anyone you want to share this social event with. Remember
this Book/DVD Swap is a great way to tell others about
Pathway and get them to the building to see how wonderful
our facilities are. And, it is FREE!!! (always nice after the
busy holiday season). Please contact the event organizer if
you have any questions or would like to help…
The Yearbook Staff will be
sponsoring a Bake Sale
during all three lunch
periods this Thursday,
January 21st. All items will
be priced below $1.00. Items
will include brownies,
cookies, cake, etc.
This is what the Lord says—
your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:...“But forget all
that—it is nothing compared to what I am go-
ing to do. For I am about to do something new.See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I
will make a pathway through the wilderness. I
will create rivers in the dry wasteland…Yes, Iwill make rivers in the dry wasteland so my chosen people can be refreshed. I have made
Israel for myself, and they will someday honor me before the whole world.(Isaiah
43:14,18,19,21)
CHANGE
This is an exciting time in the Kingdom of God! But,I have to be honest, a sad time for me. I have en-joyed writing the Panther Press for these years, al-
most 4 to be exact. However, my last 2 classes(celebrate!) and budget restrictions have necessitated
a change. The new Editor is ready to go! I am ex-
cited and very thankful for her stepping up to the challenge. I am not going anywhere, I LOVE the
students of Pathway, and they know I do! I believe in keeping people informed. That will not change.
Jesus doesn’t call us servants, because servantsdon’t know the deal (carr paraphrase). He calls us
Friends, and friends tell each other EVERYTHING!
God is a GREAT GOD! It’s His Kingdom that is
being built daily in and through the lives of the chil-dren here at Pathway! May the Lord of Lords, and
the King of Kings be with you all!Multiple Blessings be on each of you!
