Classical Thai DanceCome and learn the main dramatic act of Thailand while having a lot of fun! Traditional Thai dancing is a combination of graceful body movement patterns and techniques, along with Thai culture. This dance helps to improve movement, mobility, and balance while working all of the major mus-cle groups. You will also learn how to tell a story through graceful and elegant dance movements. No prior dance experience is required. Taught by Sophia Montross who began dancing at the age of 5 in Udon Thani, Thailand and has practiced for the past 40 years.

Beginners Belly danceThis belly dance fitness class will introduce basic movements and foundations for belly dance. Class begins with warm-up and stretching using isolations of muscle groups. Demonstrations will be given using the movements in drills to learn techniques. Explanations will aid students in incorporating speed, levels, and direction change into their combinations. Drills increase heart rate, create strength and are tons of fun!

American native, Riksar (Anne Elizabeth) first began learning Egyptian belly dance at age fourteen in Sarnia, Ontario.

WINTER DANCE programJazz - Intro to jazz basics and technique through strength and flexibility exercises, floor progressions and choreography.

Creative Movement & Pre-Ballet - These exciting fun filled classes blend the magic of childhood creativity with movement and the principles of ballet. With imaginations fully engaged, dancers swim and sing with the mermaids, fly with the fairies and prance like unicorns while learning how to plie’, tendu’, and passe’.

Ballet/tap combo class - Learn the basics of two different dance styles! The first half is pre-ballet, while the second half focuses on basics of tap. Dancers will practice tempo, learn to count music, and shuffle like Ginger Rodgers!

ms. michelle is a professional dancer, teacher and entertainer who recently moved to Port Huron from NYC! She has 19 years experience teaching dance and tumbling across the country from studios, to summer camps and more. Ms. Michelle is best known for her whimsical and energetic, yet structured teaching style and is so excited to bring her curriculum to the City of Port Huron.

stop the bleedThis class will teach the civilian population how toprovide vital initial-response. This info will enable you to stop uncontrolled bleeding in emergency situations. During many emergencies, there is a delay between the time of injury and the time a first responder is on the scene. Without civilianintervention, preventable deaths can occur. Rhonda Adams, EMT-P and Field Training Officer for Tri-Hospital EMS, will instruct the class. All participants who attend will receive a certificate upon completion of the course.
