Flener declined a prelim- inary hearing and her case was bound over to a grand jury. Rhonda L. Tomes (now Sharp), 38, Old Gallatin Road, was arrested by for- mer Detective Charlie Drummond for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, third offense, driving while license is suspended for DUI, third offense, pre- scription not in original con- tainer and no proof of insur- ance. Sharpe waived all charges to a grand jury. James E. Bowman, 24, Scottsville, was represented by Attorney Alicson Mont- gomery. Bowman was charged by patrolman Johns with pos- session of an unspecified controlled substance, drug possession of marijuana and possession of drug parapher- nalia. His case will be presented to a grand jury. Bail amend- ed to $25,000 with a 10 per- cent deposit. Michael Joseph Turner, 44, of Tompkinsville, ap- peared with Attorney Mont- gomery for a preliminary hearing. County Attorney William P. Hagenbuch had former Deputy Sheriff Jeff Pearson to explain to the court how he arrested Turner on a bur- glary charge. Probable cause was found for Turner’s arrest. His case will be submitted to a grand jury. Katlynn L. Hogue, 20, Old Glasgow Road, was charged with possession of marijua- na and drug paraphernalia possession by Patrolman Johns. Charges were merged by the court. Hogue must pay costs of $153.50. A 30-day jail sentence was condition- ally discharged. Roger B. Knight, 33, of Bowling Green, was accused by city police of third of- fense DUI, under aggravat- ing conditions. Guilty pleas were entered. Knight was fined $500, plus a $375 state DUI ser- vice fee and court costs for a total of $1,028. He received a 30-day jail sentence and his driver’s license was sus- pended for one year. Charges of speeding and failure to give a proper turn signal were dismissed. Carol S. Rains, 40, of Lu- cas, was arrested by Trooper C. Duke for DUI and driving on a suspended license. Her fine, fee and costs totaled $778.50, driver’s li- cense was suspended for 60 days and she must serve four days in jail. David P. Estep, 45, Smiths Grove, was stopped and arrested by Patrolman Mickey Atwood for reckless diving and DUI. By Joe Hite C-T Staff Writer Franklin D. Blakley, 34, Cartertown Road, appeared with Attorney Dennie Har- din for a pretrial conference before Judge Janet J. Crock- er last Tuesday. Blakley was arrested by former Detective John Rose for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Blakley and his attorney were able to reach a plea agreement with Common- wealth's Attorney Clint Willis. Under terms of the agreement, Blakley will serve three years in prison on charge one. He was given a concurrent six-month jail sentences on the remaining charges. A persistent felony offend- er charge was dismissed. Formal sentencing will be conducted on March 13. Melissa Lenore Mc- Murtry, 48, of Lafayette, Tenn., was arrested by De- tective Mike Wimpee on various charges including manufacturing metham- phetamine, possession of a controlled substance (meth), unlawful possession of a meth precursor and receiv- ing stolen property. Her pretrial conference was continued to February 14. Jody Dean Powell, 40, Old Franklin Road, was ac- cused by Detective Chad Keen of burglary and theft by unlawful taking of prop- erty (electrical wiring val- ued at $1,816, from a house under construction in Allen County). Powell has not been served with a criminal summons or an indictment warrant. His arraignment was continued to January 8, 2013. Ida Harrison, 46, John- ny's Lane, was arrested by former Detective Rose for theft by unlawful taking of a bottle of pills belonging to Belinda Ungles of Scottsville and tampering with physi- cal evidence. A bench warrant for her arrest has not been served. Harrison's pretrial confer- ence was continued to Janu- ary 8, 2013. District Court Newstep pled guilty. He mst pay $728.50 and spend four days in custody. Operator’s license suspended for 60 days.

•Patrolman Johns charged Wesley D. Copas, 28, North Ninth Street, with alcohol intoxication and resisting arrest. His fines totaled $125.

Copas pled guilty to un-lawful transaction with a minor. He received a seven day jail sentence. Credit was given for two days already served.

•Jerry E. Justice, 34, of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., was arrested by Trooper C. Duke for speeding and driv-ing on a suspended license.

He was fined $20 and costs on charge one. Charge two was dismissed.

•Harold G. Lyles, 43, Westmoreland, Tenn., was charged by Trooper Adam Morgan with failure to wear seatbelt and driving on a suspended license.

He was fined $25 on charge one. Charge two was placed on pretrial diversion.

•David E. Porter, 27, South

Third Street, was cited by KVE Officer Steve Burke with driving on a suspended license. He was fiend $50 plus costs.

•Daniel P. DelRio, 24, Parker Lane, was cited by Patrolman Atwood for no op-erator’s license. He was fined $50 plus costs of $142.50.

•Ciahn Z. Schultz, 26, Old Hartsville Road, was cited by Patrolman Darren Tabor for failure to wear a seat-belt. Fine and costs totaled $178.50.

•Jessica D. Shockley, 27, North Welch Street, was cited by Trooper Morgan for obstructed windshield and careless driving. Charges were merged. She must pay costs of $142.50. State traf-fic school was approved.

•Jamie L. Davis, 29, Bor-den Lane, was issued a ci-tation by Patrolman Tabor

for failure to use a child re-straint device.

Davis was fined $50 plus costs.

•Min Shwe Oo, 26, of Fort Wayne, Ind., was cited by State F & W Officer John Jackson on 14 counts of fish not to be taken other than by a pole and line, and non resident fishing without a license.

Oo entered pleas of guilty. Fines and costs to-taled $753.50, $300 of this amount was suspended by the court leaving total due as $453.50.

Fishing license forfeited for one year.

•David H. Underwood, 51, Sawyer, Ky., was arrested by Deputy Sheriff Delmas Carter for fourth-degree as-sault (domestic violence). The charge was placed on pretrial diversion.

Franklin D. Blakley, 34, Cartertown Road, appeared with Attorney Dennie Har-din for a pretrial conference before Judge Janet J. Crock-er last Tuesday.

Blakley was arrested by former Detective John Rose for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Blakley and his attorney were able to reach a plea agreement with Common-wealth's Attorney Clint Willis. Under terms of the agreement, Blakley will serve three years in prison on charge one. He was given a concurrent six-month jail sentences on the remaining charges.

A persistent felony offend-er charge was dismissed.

Formal sentencing will be conducted on March 13.

•Melissa Lenore Mc-Murtry, 48, of Lafayette, Tenn., was arrested by De-tective Mike Wimpee on various charges including manufacturing metham-phetamine, possession of a controlled substance (meth), unlawful possession of a meth precursor and receiv-ing stolen property.

Her pretrial conference was continued to February 14.

•Jody Dean Powell, 40, Old Franklin Road, was ac-cused by Detective Chad Keen of burglary and theft by unlawful taking of prop-erty (electrical wiring val-ued at $1,816, from a house under construction in Allen County).

Powell has not been served with a criminal summons or an indictment warrant. His arraignment was continued to January 8, 2013.

•Ida Harrison, 46, John-ny's Lane, was arrested by former Detective Rose for theft by unlawful taking of a bottle of pills belonging to Belinda Ungles of Scottsville and tampering with physi-cal evidence.

A bench warrant for her arrest has not been served. Harrison's pretrial confer-ence was continued to Janu-ary 8, 2013.
