since the company was founded

by Hans Wolf in 1975, hawo has

been manufacturing impulse and

heat sealers for a wide variety

of different uses. Later came

vacuum sealers, along with

test and labelling systems that

satisfy the strictest clean-room

standards. the emphasis lay on

supplying high-quality products

and covering every stage of the

packaging process with a variety

of accessories and services.

Inspired by our company values,

we have been synonymous with

safety, sustainability and respon-

sibility for over 40 years. All of our

innovations are therefore geared

towards the needs of our custom-

ers. Through constant dialogue with

our partners and feedback from our

customers, we have succeeded in

bringing the very highest-quality

products onto the market.

hawo products offer the ultimate in

convenient use and efficiency. our

products also speak an aesthetic

language of design intended to

make using them a pleasure. We

also started taking social respon-

sibility early on, and for years have

focused on resource-sparing de-

signs and sustainable construction

for our products that use a fraction

of the energy of similar devices.

And we do all this without any com-

promises in terms of sealing quality.

Taking responsibility and protecting

resources, as well as providing our

customers and the people around

us with expert, helpful and com-

prehensive advice has been our

pledge since the company was first

founded in 1975. We want to con-

tinue this success, even after more

than 40 years, and remain a reliable

and professional partner for sealing

and vacuum technology. That is our

mission.

We have developed a series of

technologies that can process

packaging-related information

automatically, making the use and

operation of sealing devices as

safe and straightforward as pos-

sible for their users. The functional

logos shown allow us to demon-

strate quickly which sealing or

vacuum sealer contains which

hawo technology.

DatamaticWith Datamatic, all process data can be saved to a

USB stick, and transferred to an independent computer

for further data processing. This function is already

available in many sealing devices and in the VeriDoc

system.

docLinkhawo sealing equipment with DocLink can be con-

nected via the integrated communications interface to

external computer systems. This supports bidirectional

communication (external machine operation and pro-

cess data capture).

IntelligentscanWith hawo IntelligentScan technology, all of the

device configurations required for all kinds of packag-

ing materials, printing and staff data, can be entered

in advance via the PC software. With the barcode

scanner, the hawo IntelligentScan technology

automatically assigns the scanned-in barcodes to

the device functions.

appCtrlUsing hawo’s unique control apps, all device and

programming functions can be called up directly.

Thanks to AppCtrl, operation and communication

become child‘s play.

The ISo 11607-2 standard requires processes

involved in the packaging of medical products to be

validated. During sealing, the critical process para-

meters must be monitured routinely.

The new ISo/TS 16775 provides guidelines for how

to carry out process validation. When validating the

sealing process, the optimum parameters are deter-

mined for the packaging material being used. The

process must then ensure the best possible sealing

seam under these parameter settings.

Professional sealing systems are therefore regarded

as essential for medically safe sealing during packag-

ing in clean-room environments. hawo offers the entire

product portfolio of vacuum, impulse and band seal-

ers that comply with the requirements of ISo 11607-2.

The models marked with a „V“ feature an integrated

function designed to monitor critical process para-

meters.

fontmaticon sealing machines with integrated printer, packag-

ing-related information can be printed directly on the

sterile product packaging so it is clearly visible to the

user. It is important in this context that the information

is also displayed in full. Sealing devices with patented

fontmatic technology recognise the width of the seal-

ing material and adapt the font size automatically to the

space available. Printing that goes beyond the edge is

therefore a thing of the past.

GrEENTeKenvironmental protection and sustainability are not an

end in themselves. During the last years, we have con-

sistently concentrated on resources-sparing design.

Vacuum chamber machines in stainless steel for the

evacuation and / or gas flushing of flexible plastic

packaging.

The hv 300 K-V mediVac vacuum chamber machine

has been developed to address the specialist needs

of the medical and pharmaceutical supplies (life sci-

ences) as well as industrial and consumer goods. It

guarantees GmP-compliant packaging in relation to

packaging quality and process reliability. The vacuum

and gas flushing time can be adjusted independently

of each other. The sealing and cooling temperature

can be set individually for the selected packaging ma-

terial. Precise temperature control ensures consistent

quality of the sealing seam. The machines are suitable

for high volume use in multi-shift operation.

The sealing process can be validated in accordance

with the requirements set out in eN ISo 11607-2.

hpl 3000 DC-VhIGh-TeCh BAND SeALeR.

The band sealer is ideal for sealing thermoplastic

polymer films and aluminium laminate films as well as

sealing medical packaging in accordance with ISo

11607-1 (eN 868-4/5/9/10). The integrated transport

system carries heavy packaging goods accurately

through the machine. The process is validatable in

accordance with the requirements of ISo 11607-2.

The contact pressure is variable and can be switched

off if required. The temperature and throughput speed

can be adjusted. This allows precise adaptation to the

material during the acceptance assessment (opera-

tional qualification, oQ) in the context of process

validation. The machine is designed for high volumes

in multi-shift operation.

The 9 mm (0.35 inch) sealing seam as well as the

individual setting options for the process parameters

therefore offer maximum flexibility when it comes to

choosing the packaging materials, such as:

> Polymer materials (e.g. polyethylene,

polypropylene, polyolefins, PVC)

> Sealable paper pouches (EN 868-4)

> Sealable paper/plastic pouches and reels

(EN 868-5)

> Uncoated nonwoven materials of polyolefines

programmed in via the touchscreen or read in

via a barcode scanner.

operation is made even easier thanks to the new

hawo IntelligentScan function: Individual specifications

for sealing and sealing parameters can be quickly

and easily programmed in for various materials. The

barcode lists can themselves be created individually

using the supplied software (e.g. various temperatures,

printing sequences, etc.).

INTeGRATeD PRINTeR.

The integrated printer enables process-related informa-

tion to be printed directly on the packaging (assuming

the materials are printable). Intelligent technologies

such as fontmatic, developed by hawo, for the auto-

matic adjustment of the film width, assist the user and

ensure a problem-free packaging process.

ReLIABILITY.

The hpl 3000 DC-V satisfies all process validation

requirements as defined in ISo 11607-2. The criti-

cal process parameters of temperature, throughput

speed (dwell) and contact pressure are continuously

monitored and displayed graphically on the LCD

touchscreen. The machine alerts the user to deviations

from the specified parameter with a visual and audible

prompt.

A selective operating lock offers additional security:

Individual configuration functions, for example after

process qualification (PQ), can be deactivated so that

only the current process parameters can be viewed

by the operator.
