HOW PARENTS CAN SUPPORT
YOUR CHILD, OUR PUPIL
WHAT IS PSLE TO YOU?
PSLE is a LIFE Race
PSLE is a LIFE Race• IT TAKES MORE THAN INTELLIGENCE TO FINISH THIS
LIFE RACE WELL. YOU NEED STRONG LIFE-SKILLS
AND GOOD ATTITUDE IN THIS LIFE RACE.
• You do not run this LIFE Race alone, you run it with a team
AS A PARENT COACH…
PSLE is a “life” race and one of the important life challenges that parents can support and run alongside with your children.
It is valuable opportunity to build bond, trust and teach life lessons to our pupils/ your children.
AS A PARENT COACH…
Inspire your child to achieve high and his fullest potential. Aim for a high standard but realistic aggregate.
AS A PARENT COACH…
Motivate your child by taking an active interest in your child’s learning progress as well as his CCA.
Encourage and affirm him of every good progress step he has made.
AS A PARENT COACH…
Ensure that he does all his homework and complete them properly.
Ensure that he attends lessons in school regularly. Skipping classes makes it difficult for him to catch up with his lessons later on.
Ensure that he has enough hours of sleep every day and takes his breakfast before coming to school.
AS A PARENT COACH…
Draw up a time-table with him/her NOW!
Monitor his daily after-school schedules/ lessons to ensure he is meaningfully and constructively engaged.
AS A PARENT COACH…
Communicate with your child’s teachers regularly whenever you need clarification, assistance and feedback to better support your child in his learning.
Help to look after our teachers together as they need your trust, cooperation, support and motivation to run this PSLE with your children.
THE COMPASS FOR YOU, AS PARENTS
Love
Recognise Your Path is Not Their Way

Help Discover Talents, Abilities, Interests
Value Individual Identity – Build, Do not Demolish

Lead from the Front, Side, Behind, Within
Love
LET’S RUN THIS PSLE ‘LIFE’ RACE TOGETHER,
ALONGSIDE YOUR CHILD, OUR PUPIL.
