What is Oracy?

Oracy

Having good oracy skills is really not just about

being able to speak clearly and confidently.

A good speaker is one who demonstrates

substance (critical and creative thinking)

through her speech.

A Good speaker is Learned- Has good knowledge of what is going on around him/her (critical and mature thinking)

Reflective- Constantly thinks about how he/she can be a better person and how things could have been done better

Impressive-Always makes deep impressions with his/her intelligent oral responses

What is Reading Aloud?Your child will be given a passage to read aloud.

Reading Aloud● Skim and look out for difficult vocabulary and lengthy

sentences.● Pay attention to pronunciations, especially its end

consonants.

I would be interested to buy these biscuits as I like

eating biscuits which are tasty yet healthy.

Furthermore, they are packed with nutrients and it

comes with a free maze game on the side. I am

also delighted that they also have a competition I

can take part in. I have always wanted a TREK bicycle and I like cycling very much.

REASONS

Healthy biscuits provide a lot of nutrition and

vitamins for our body. Along with being healthy, I

also get to exercise my mind by playing the maze

game. Cycling has always been my passion and

having a TREK bicycle will help me to achieve my fitness goals better.

EXAMPLE

Biscuits could be nutritious crackers and they are

low in sugar and salt but high in protein and fibre.

They are easy to consume and make you feel full fast without feeling heavy.

EXPERIENCE

I remember packing biscuits to school once. They

were easy to place in my lunch box and very easy to

consume in the classroom during snack time. I could also share them with my friends if they wanted to try.

SUGGESTION

I would recommend biscuits to my friends and family as

being healthy is a very important factor in living. Being aware

of the type of food you consume keeps you healthy and free

from sickness. Along with eating right, getting proper exercise

daily is important as well. That is why I love to cycle as it is fun. It can be done with my family and friends and it keeps me fit!

▪ There was an old brown door. I opened it.

▪ The door was old. Mould curled up in every corner of its edges. Rain and age had made their marks on its sides. However, there was light peeping through the cracks. Somehow, it promised a new experience. My hand pushed it open curiously. It was a place filled with plants of every colour in the rainbow. What a sight! Eager to see further, I took a step forward.
