RCC Box segments and base slab segments shall be casted as per approved drawing near proposed site. All RCC surfaces coming in contact with soil should be painted with bitumen or coal Tar of approved quantity @ 1.464 kg/Sq.M. 2. Reference lines are to be marked on the track and levels are to be fixed by using levelling instrument with reference to rail level. Centre line is to be marked on all the precast box segments. Central line of subway shall be transferred to ground. 3. Arrangement of Materials, manpower and machinery as per requirement at site. i) Sufficient quantity of ballast, sand, boulders and back fill material preferably loaded in tractor-trolly during block. ii) Sufficient empty sand bags filled with stand. iii) Arrangement of skilled labour, Engineering Black-Smith with rail cutting and drilling machine. 4. Minimum equipment to be arranged for line block are given below: a) Two Road cranes of suitable capacity with one additional as stand/by crane. (Capacity of crane shall be minimum of 150T ensuring lifting capacity at 8 m radius will be at least be 60T) b) At least 2 proclain (having bucket capacity of 1.0 to 1.5 cum) and 2 JCBs. c) One Hydra of 14 T capacity. d) Six dumper/tractor-trolly with hydraulic system for unloading. e) Wire ropes/sling (steel ropes dia suitable) and Clips for each RCC Box segments. f) Jack hammer along with compressors, tools ad plants for blasting purpose. g) Gas cutter and other T & P for track works. h) Levelling instrument with staff. i) One suitable length of RH Girder with all accessories. 5. Caution of 20 Kmph may be imposed 24 hours before the proposed line block. 6. Isolate 26 m of length of track from the exg lwr/cwr on the track as feasible. Further convert this 26m track into three equal parts of easy handling and removal by crane. 7. Precast RCC Boxes to be placed in vertical position, along the track on both sides. Precast slabs should also be kept ready near LHS site. 8. Notice to public for traffic block and train cancellation diversion, if any, be given. 9. Excavation on both sides of Railway bank should be done in advance with suitable ramps. Stability of the side slopes must be ensured while doing excavation. 10. Approach road for movement of road user and other heavy machineries be made. B.WORKS DURING BLOCK (Block period of 6hrs duration approximately) 1. The block shall not be planned if rain is expected/forecast in rainy day. 2. During line block, remove the rail panel and sleepers using the road cranes. Remove the Exg. Ballast and Earth upto required depth by excavator. 3. Watchmen should be posted to Watch stability of cut slope and control traffic movement at site. Necessary plastic sheet to be kept at site to protect cut surface in case of unusual rain etc. 4. No material should be kept or men are allowed to stand within 2m from cut edge. 5. After ascertain desired level at bottom of RUB, provide desired thickness of sand filling. 6. Precast base slabs should be placed in position by cranes, starting from centre of formation towards both ends. Centre line of precast slab shall be placed at the centre line of track. Hooks on slabs should be cut by disc cutter or gas cutting arrangement and epoxy mortar to be applied. 7. Place RCC Box elements with help of road cranes in final position over base slabs, edge of box segment be placed at centre of track. i.e. track will be supported on two segments. The joints between base slab and segmental boxes should be staggered. Segments should perfectly flush with each other. Hooks on box top should be cut. 8. Geo-textile to be wrapped on entire outer surface of the box to prevent seepage and leaching of earth. All joints to be sealed with suitable sealant/water proofing compound. 9. Boulders to be filled behind the RCC Box. Remaining space should be filled with suitable back fill material and to be compacted properly. 10. Place the already collect ballast over formation to required depth and correct profile. Clear the block after linking the track and allow the first train at a restricted speed of stop-dead and proceed at 10 kmph, thereafter traffic should be allowed at a speed of 10 kmph duly ensuring the traffic parameters. C.FOOT BLOCK WORKS 1. Mark sleeper nos on either side of the proposed LHS for a length of 15m for monitoring track parameters i.e. cross level measurements. 2. After allowing initial settlement of boxes (if any), the gaps between two segments be sealed by use of cement mortar or epoxy, to make joints water tight. 3. Making of ballast profile and through packing of track. Welding of fish plated joints to convert it to LWR and destressing. 4. Construct steeped abutments and retaining wall on either side of RUB. Construct approach road to LHS and drain age system. 5. Provide Height Gauge on either side, as per requirement and standard specification. 6. Complete the Bridge in all aspects and commission the RUB. 7. Close the level crossing. 8. As soon as first rainfall occurs after completion of work. SSE/SE(P.Way) should visit the site and inspect for any unusual occurrence like settlement, loose packing, cross-level variation etc. GENERAL NOTES 1. Unless otherwise specified, all measurements are shown in 'mm' and levels are shown in 'metres'. 2. No construction joint shall be allowed in concrete work unless it is specified in detailed drawings as per design considerations. 3. The maximum bearing pressure at the bottom of box and stepped abutment is t/sq.m. The Engineer-in-charge than this value under any circumstances. 4. A bitumen layer of at least 2mm thickness or equivalent insulating layer on the top and sides of the box shall be provided. 5. TVUs at this LC location is 143614 YEAR OF CENSUS - DOC.06.2018. 6. Suitable speed breakers shall be provided on approaches by Road authority in consultation with Railways. 7. The Tenderer should not the cushion availability while quoting and undertake the work only if he is confident of taking of work without jeopardising safety. IMPORTANT NOTES 1. In terms of District Collector, District- Maharashtra State, Lr. No. ………… dt…….. on commissioning of subway, the LC shall be closed. Division has to ensure simultaneous closure of Level Crossing (LC) along with commissioning of road traffic through subway. 2. Division has to submit completion drawings of detailed drawings & GAD in original duly signed by Divisional officials after immediate completion of the work in accordance with para 911 of Indian Railway Works Manual. 3. CRS Permission shall be obtained prior to commencement of work considering para 1302 of Indian Railway P.Way Manual. 4. The drainage arrangements including sump and pumping arrangements wherever necessary beyond Railway boundary should be constructed by Railways. 5. Suitable approach gradients shall be provided by Railway duly keeping the view of draining out water in the subway within Railway Boundaries. 6. PROTECTIVE COATINGS FOR REINFORCEMENT AGAINST CORROSION SHOULD BE PROVIDED AS PER CLAUSE NO. 7.1.5 OF CORRECTION SLIP NO. 8 AT IRS CONCRETE BRIDGE CODE EDITION. 5. DRAINAGE SPOUTS SHALL BE PROVIDED 2.00 M AWAY FROM CENTRE LINE OF EXISTING/FUTURE TRACK CONSIDERING THE TRACTION FUTURE TRACTION AND SAME HAS TO BE ENSURED IN THE DRAWINGS AND BY THE ENGINEER-IN-CHARGE AT SITE. 6. DURING CONSTRUCTION A MINIMUM CLEARANCE OF 2360 MM TO BE MAINTAINED BETWEEN CENTRE LINE OF EXISTING TRACK TO THE FACE OF TEMPORARY ARRANGEMENT STRUCTURES. 7. IT IS PERMITTED TO LAY MAXIMUM 65 MM THICK UNIFORM WEARING COAT OVER RAILWAY PORTION ALONG WITH APPROACHES AS PER MORTH STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS (LATEST) BY R&B AUTHORITIES. VARIATION OF TRANSVERSE SLOPES SHALL BE MAINTAINED IN DECK/ SUPER STRUCTURE ONLY. UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES WEARING COST THICKNESS SHOULD NOT EXCEED 75 MM THICK DURING THE EXECUTION AND MAINTENANCE PERIOD. THIS SHALL BE ENSURED BY R&B DEPARTMENT UNDER RAILWAY SUPERVISION FROM TIME TO TIME. SPECIFICATIONS: 1. ALL WORKS ARE TO BE CARRIED OUT AS PER THE FOLLOWING. i. GENERAL NOTES:

1. RCC Box segments and base slab segments shall be casted as per approved drawing near

proposed site. All RCC surfaces coming in contact with soil should be painted with bitumen or coal

Tar of approved quantity @ 1.464 kg/Sq.M.

2. Reference lines are to be marked on the track and levels are to be fixed by using levelling

instrument with reference to rail level. Centre line is to be marked on all the precast box segments.

Central line of subway shall be transferred to ground.

3. Arrangement of Materials, manpower and machinery as per requirement at site.

i) Sufficient quantity of ballast, sand, boulders and back fill material preferably loaded in

tractor-trolly during block.

ii) Sufficient empty sand bags filled with stand.

iii) Arrangement of skilled labour, Engineering Black-Smith with rail cutting and drilling machine.

4. Minimum equipment to be arranged for line block are given below:

a) Two Road cranes of suitable capacity with one additional as stand/by crane. (Capacity of

crane shall be minimum of 150T ensuring lifting capacity at 8 m radius will be at least be 60T)

b) At least 2 proclain (having bucket capacity of 1.0 to 1.5 cum) and 2 JCBs.

c) One Hydra of 14 T capacity.

d) Six dumper/tractor-trolly with hydraulic system for unloading.

e) Wire ropes/sling (steel ropes dia suitable) and Clips for each RCC Box segments.

f) Jack hammer along with compressors, tools ad plants for blasting purpose.

g) Gas cutter and other T & P for track works.

h) Levelling instrument with staff.

i) One suitable length of RH Girder with all accessories.

5. Caution of 20 Kmph may be imposed 24 hours before the proposed line block.

6. Isolate 26 m of length of track from the exg lwr/cwr on the track as feasible. Further convert this

26m track into three equal parts of easy handling and removal by crane.

7. Precast RCC Boxes to be placed in vertical position, along the track on both sides. Precast slabs

should also be kept ready near LHS site.

8. Notice to public for traffic block and train cancellation diversion, if any, be given.

9. Excavation on both sides of Railway bank should be done in advance with suitable ramps. Stability

of the side slopes must be ensured while doing excavation.

10. Approach road for movement of road user and other heavy machineries be made.

B.WORKS DURING BLOCK (Block period of 6hrs duration approximately)

1. The block shall not be planned if rain is expected/forecast in rainy day.

2. During line block, remove the rail panel and sleepers using the road cranes. Remove the Exg.

Ballast and Earth upto required depth by excavator.

3. Watchmen should be posted to Watch stability of cut slope and control traffic movement at site.

Necessary plastic sheet to be kept at site to protect cut surface in case of unusual rain etc.

4. No material should be kept or men are allowed to stand within 2m from cut edge.

5. After ascertain desired level at bottom of RUB, provide desired thickness of sand filling.

6. Precast base slabs should be placed in position by cranes, starting from centre of formation

towards both ends. Centre line of precast slab shall be placed at the centre line of track. Hooks on

slabs should be cut by disc cutter or gas cutting arrangement and epoxy mortar to be applied.

7. Place RCC Box elements with help of road cranes in final position over base slabs, edge of box

segment be placed at centre of track. i.e. track will be supported on two segments. The joints

between base slab and segmental boxes should be staggered. Segments should perfectly flush

with each other. Hooks on box top should be cut.

8. Geo-textile to be wrapped on entire outer surface of the box to prevent seepage and leaching of

earth. All joints to be sealed with suitable sealant/water proofing compound.

9. Boulders to be filled behind the RCC Box. Remaining space should be filled with suitable back fill

material and to be compacted properly.

10. Place the already collect ballast over formation to required depth and correct profile. Clear the

block after linking the track and allow the first train at a restricted speed of stop-dead and proceed

at 10 kmph, thereafter traffic should be allowed at a speed of 10 kmph duly ensuring the traffic

parameters.

C.FOOT BLOCK WORKS

1. Mark sleeper nos on either side of the proposed LHS for a length of 15m for monitoring track

parameters i.e. cross level measurements.

2. After allowing initial settlement of boxes (if any), the gaps between two segments be sealed by

use of cement mortar or epoxy, to make joints water tight.

3. Making of ballast profile and through packing of track. Welding of fish plated joints to convert it to

LWR and destressing.

4. Construct steeped abutments and retaining wall on either side of RUB. Construct approach road to

LHS and drain age system.

5. Provide Height Gauge on either side, as per requirement and standard specification.

6. Complete the Bridge in all aspects and commission the RUB.

7. Close the level crossing.

8. As soon as first rainfall occurs after completion of work. SSE/SE(P.Way) should visit the site and

inspect for any unusual occurrence like settlement, loose packing, cross-level variation etc.

GENERAL NOTES

1. Unless otherwise specified, all measurements are shown in 'mm' and levels are shown in 'metres'.

2. No construction joint shall be allowed in concrete work unless it is specified in detailed drawings as

per design considerations.

3. The maximum bearing pressure at the bottom of box and stepped abutment is t/sq.m. The

Engineer-in-charge than this value under any circumstances.

4. A bitumen layer of at least 2mm thickness or equivalent insulating layer on the top and sides of

the box shall be provided.

5. TVUs at this LC location is 143614 YEAR OF CENSUS - DOC.06.2018.

6. Suitable speed breakers shall be provided on approaches by Road authority in consultation with

Railways.

7. The Tenderer should not the cushion availability while quoting and undertake the work only if he is

confident of taking of work without jeopardising safety.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1. In terms of District Collector, District- Maharashtra State, Lr. No. ………… dt…….. on

commissioning of subway, the LC shall be closed. Division has to ensure simultaneous closure of

Level Crossing (LC) along with commissioning of road traffic through subway.

2. Division has to submit completion drawings of detailed drawings & GAD in original duly signed by

Divisional officials after immediate completion of the work in accordance with para 911 of Indian

Railway Works Manual.

3. CRS Permission shall be obtained prior to commencement of work considering para 1302 of Indian

Railway P.Way Manual.

4. The drainage arrangements including sump and pumping arrangements wherever necessary

beyond Railway boundary should be constructed by Railways.

5. Suitable approach gradients shall be provided by Railway duly keeping the view of draining out

water in the subway within Railway Boundaries.

6. Cost of drainage arrangement system & forming approach roads during execution and

maintenance period shall be fully borne by Railways.

7. Suitable manholes along pro. drainage at regular intervals to be provided by Division.

SPECIFICATION AND DESIGN RELATED NOTES (RUB)

1. The grade of concrete for various RCC/Mass concrete works shall be in accordance with IRS

concrete bridge code 1997 & I.S. 456-2000 and IRC codes and specifications.

2. Protective coatings for reinforcement against corrosion should be provided as per clause No. 7.1.5

of correction slip no. 8 at IRS concrete bridge code edition.

3. All works are to be carried out as per the following:

a) S.C. Railway standard specification for Materials and works 2010.

b) IRS Bridge Manual

c) IRS concrete Bridge Code

d) IRS Bridge Rules.

e) IRS Bridge Foundation and Substructure Code

4. RCC Box- M35 Grade concrete with 20 mm maximum size well graded hard stone aggregate of

approved quality.

5. Wearing course, Parapet, Coping, Drain & Drain slab: M25 Grade concrete with 20 mm maximum

size well graded hard stone aggregate of approved quality.

6. Stepped Abutments, Retaining walls: M25 Grade concrete with 40 mm maximum size well graded

hard stone aggregate of approved quality.

CENTRE LINE OF EXISTING TRACK TO THE FACE OF TEMPORARY ARRANGEMENT STRUCTURE.

13. VARIATION OF TRANSVERSE SLOPE SHALL BE MAINTAINED IN DECK/SUPERSTRUCTURE ONLY.

UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE WEARING COAT THICKNESS SHOULD NOT EXCEED 75 MM THICK

CASE EXISTING LEVEL CROSSING IS NOT CLOSED AFTER OPENING OF ROB THE ENTIRE COST OF

ROB WILL HAVE TO BE BORNE BY THE STATE GOVERNMENT WHO HAVE SPONSORED THIS WORK.

NANDED DIVISION HAS TO ENSURE BEFORE TAKING UP THE BRIDGE FOR MAINTENANCE.

3. DY/CE/BRIDGE LINES OFFICE HAS TO SUBMIT COMPLETION DRAWINGS OF DETAILED DRAWINGS

AND GAD AND FINAL DESIGN IN ORIGINAL DULY SIGNED BY OFFICIALS TO OPEN LINE DULY GIVING

3 SETS OF COPIES TO DIVISION AFTER IMMEDIATE COMPLETION OF THE WORK IN ACCORDANCE

WITH PARA 911 OF INDIAN RAILWAY WORKS MANUAL.

4. LOAD TEST HAS TO BE CARRIED OUT IMMEDIATELY AFTER COMPLETION OF THE

SUPER-STRUCTURE CONSIDERING THE PROVISIONS OF IRC SP 51-1999 GUIDE LINES FOR LOAD

TESTING OF BRIDGES.

5. ALL SITE RECORDS AND RELEVANT DOCUMENTS OF THE WORK AFTER IMMEDIATE COMPLETION

OF THE ROB IN DUPLICATE SHALL BE HANDED OVER TO DIVISION FOR PROPER UPKEEP AND

MAINTENANCE OF THE ROB.

6. CRS PERMISSION SHALL BE OBTAINED PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT OF WORK CONSIDERING PARA

1302 (CLAUSE-2(G) OF INDIAN RAILWAY P.WAY MANUAL).

7. APPROACH LENGTH OF ROB SHOULD BE AS PER GUIDE LINES PROVIDED IN IRC AND BEAR

MINIMUM AS PER CODAL REQUIREMENT SHOULD ONLY BE CONSIDERED FOR COST SHARING AS

PER RAILWAY BOARD'S POLICY LR. NO. 2002/CE-I/BRO/POLICY DATED 08.02.2005

8. IN CASE TRANSFER OF RAILWAY LAND IF ANY INVOLVE CONSTRUCTION. ORGANIZATION HAS TO

TAKE INITIATIVE THE PROCESS CONSIDERING RLY BOARDS LR. NO. 97/CE-I/BRO/POLICY DT.

27.11.97.

9. NARROW ROAD OVER BRIDGE HAVING WIDTH OF DECK LESS THAN OF APPROACHES, TRAFFIC

SAFETY MEASURES ON APPROACHES TO NARROW ROAD OVER BRIDGE SHALL BE APPROVED BY

CONCERNED ROAD AUTHORITY AS PER MORTH LR. NO. RW/NH/33044/23/2007 I&R DETAILED

31.10.2008. DY. CE/BR. LINES OFFICE AND CONCERNED RAILWAY DIVISION HAS TO ENSURE IT.

10. PARA 1816 TO 1818, 1033, 1617 & 1618 OF INDIAN RAILWAYS CODE FOR ENGINEERING

DEPARTMENT MUTATIS MUTANDIS WILL APPLY FOR ROB WORK AND DY. CE/BR. LINES OFFICE

AND NANDED RAILWAY DIVISION HAS TO ENSURE IT FOR TIME TO TIME.

11. HEIGHT GAUGES NEED TO BE PROVIDED AT STARTING OF APPROACHES OF ROB

12. INITIALLY SERVICE ROAD OF 3.5 METER WILL BE PROVIDED ON EITHER SIDE WITH IN THE
