Grace Charismatic Ministers Network in Ghana

The Grace Charismatic Ministers Network in Ghana is developing a farm in Adaweso to provide an income stream for their network, including the Daystar Bible College.

They purchased a 10-acre piece of undeveloped land for this purpose. A network pastor (Pastor William) is in charge of the development. William is a farmer who has received awards for his excellence in farming. The plan is to have cash-producing animals (pigs, goats, grasscutters) and crops (plantain, cassava, yams, corn, and pineapple).

Daystar Bible College graduated its largest class to date — 56 graduates. Several offerings were received at the graduation. It was a large gathering (about 900) with family and friends of the graduates in attendance. John had a meeting with the Daystar alumni following the graduation to lay out the vision for the network and college and challenge them to give.

The Second Network Leadership Conference included many more participants than last year. There were about 170 pastors and

Now, just days ahead of the ten- year anniversary of the 2010 earthquake disaster, Haiti's population appears little prepared to face the next major shock. Millions are threatened by hunger in 2020 due to a spiraling economic and political crisis. Haiti has been on a rollercoaster of good intentions since the 2010 earthquake. Attention and donations from the rest of the world spiked in the immediate aftermath of the earthquake but have now dropped off. Basic public services like hospitals and food access are supported by international aid organizations, but

The wind of the Holy Spirit continues to blow change over Spring City Fellowship, as evidenced on February 16, 2020.

Pastors John and Sandra Shantz stepped aside to install Pastor Joel and Karie Kolb as our Senior Pastor

couple. God's hand has clearly directed the steps leading up to this event as Pastor Joel returns to his childhood roots in Spring City. In addition, we also received the gift of worship and service through Pat and Steve Amoroso. It was a glorious celebration with God's house full of family, friends from Telford, where Pastor Joel served as associate pastor, and new friends from Spring City. We were also blessed to have Pastors Lester and Erma Zimmerman and Pastors Curt and Anita Malizzi officiate the service. Pastor Lester brought the message out of 2 Timothy

more and more Haitians simply cannot afford the food they need. According to the UN disaster relief organization OCHA, the cost of the most basic kitchen essentials in Haiti — rice, wheat flour, maize, beans, sugar and vegetable oil — jumped 34% this year alone. Violent crime, such as armed robbery and carjacking, is common. Kidnapping is widespread. Kidnappers may use sophisticated planning or take advantage of unplanned opportunities. leaders in attendance compared to 70 last year. Rebeca and Allan Yoder taught on the gift and role of pastor. Though the conference was scheduled to end at a certain time, the prayer ministry that followed continued for a couple of hours.

John and his family are starting a church next door to where they live — Oasis Church. They have an enclosed one-story building in which they meet. They plan to add two more stories for the Daystar Bible College to use.

4:1-8, giving helpful advice for the journey and calling of senior pastor. Following anointed worship, an inspiring message, and heartfelt installation by laying on of hands, we ended with a celebration meal prepared by Pastor John. Pastors Joel and Karie came to Spring City Fellowship with their sleeves rolled up, hearts open, and a zeal to build the Kingdom of God. We at Spring City Fellowship are grateful, blessed, and excited to see what the wind of the Holy Spirit will do next.

Barrera Family Returning to Thailand

The coronavirus has now come to Haiti also. They are not very well equipped to handle this challenge. But the churches of the Grace Assemblies are faithful to the Lord Jesus Christ. They meet whenever they can. They try to help one another as best as they can. Please pray for Haiti at this crucial time and give as the Lord leads. You can send financial help for Haiti to Hopewell Christian Fellowship, 601 Hunsicker Rd., Telford, PA 18969.

By Pastor Curt Malizzi

Following four-plus years in Thailand, Nacho and Merrilee Barrera have spent most of the past two years in Pennsylvania as non-resident missionaries, providing long-distance coaching to the believers at CityLights Church (Hopewell Network’s church plant among the Isaan people in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand). God has used these past two years to raise up and release Isaan believers into roles within the church that they likely would not have stepped into as readily had there been mission workers onsite. This past season has also highlighted the need for ongoing discipleship and leadership development for the Isaan believers. They are asking the Hopewell

Network to send additional workers to help them grow in their faith and to assist in the spiritual harvest throughout their region, where less than half the population has ever had an opportunity to hear the Good News of Jesus. The Barrera family is preparing to move back to Thailand this summer (provided their support needs are met and COVID-19 travel restrictions are lifted) to begin a new season of onsite coaching, leadership development, and expansion of the church planting vision. An urgent need is for a home school teacher to help teach their children for the coming school year (teacher certification is not required), as well as additional long-term workers to join the church planting team.

Please join in praying for the release of workers for this harvest field! If you or someone you know has interest in serving in Thailand, please contact us: [email protected] or 717-354-5394.
