FIRST CLASS FACILITIESThe Saïd Business School offers two distinct learning environments.
A state-of-the-art building in the centre of Oxford is contrasted with our
purpose-built executive education centre set in 37-acre grounds.
PARK END STREET
The Saïd Business School building, designed by Dixon and Jones,
the architects responsible for the
Royal Opera House in London,
opened in 2001 in the centre of
Oxford. Most classes take place in
one of four wood-panelled lecture
theatres, fully-equipped with
individual network connections and
dual screens to enable simultaneous
use of a range of visual media. The
School’s Library and Information
Services comprise the two-floor
Sainsbury Library and the award-winning Virtual Library, an electronic
gateway to a wealth of business
information. This impressive build-ing also features a range of informal
working areas, from cloistered walk-
ways to a large internal courtyard.
Jonathan Glancey of The Guardian
says; “the architects have created
a beautiful, serene building that
performs the noble trick of appear-
ing to be brand new and very much
of our times, yet rooted in the
distant past.”
EGROVE PARK
Egrove Park is the BusinessSchool’s purpose-built executive
education centre, set in 37-acres
of wooded grounds on the outskirts
of Oxford. It offers fine dining from
an award-winning kitchen, and a
full accommodation service in the
style of a country house hotel. Sports
facilities include a gym, squash
courts and an all-weather playing
surface. Teaching spaces range from
lecture theatres to small syndicate
rooms and the Information Centre is
accessible 24 hours a day.
