OXBOW surfboards emulate the values of OXBOW, every board that carries an OXBOW label represents style, originality and above all, quality.

P H I L O S O P H Y

OXBOW introduces a hybrid Epoxy construction to the collection this season, moving on from the common Polyurethane foam/Polyester resin construction to a light weight Polystyrene core layered in fibreglass, bonded together with Epoxy resin. This new “Clear Epoxy” provides a look and feel very similar to regular polyurethane/polyester construction with a distinct reduction in weight and increase in reactivity and durability.

The smallest of the boards in the OXBOW range, this mini-collection is made up of 2 new Eggs and a Retro Fish. The Eggs are designed as good all-rounders with an emphasis on small waves. Nice and thick and relatively wide the boards work great for bigger, experienced surfers in small waves or smaller, intermediate surfers in any size waves they feel comfortable in. The Retro Fish is a specialised small wave speed machine, designed for surfers that want to surf in small waves but don’t want to ride a Mini-Malibu or Longboard. With a very flat rocker and wide tail the board is unbelievably fast and manoeuvrable in small waves, a great option for shortboards looking for an option in waves under 3ft.

A mini-collection of 4 boards designed to ensure you’re getting more waves than most at your local break. Ranging in sizes from 6’0” to 7’0” the Hydro Fish are modern day-all-rounders, a great option for those looking to move down in size from either a longboard or mini-mal but don’t want a full-on shortboard. The Hydro Fish combine a performance shape with loads of volume where it’s needed to ensure take offs are easy yet maintaining maximum manoeuvrability at speed. Like the OXBOW shortboards of previous seasons, the Hydro Fish come with M5 thruster FCS fins, with an additional two sets of fin plugs that allow the boards to be set-up as QUADs. Ease of use is the focus with these shapes. Gentle rocker lines with lots of volume under the surfer make these a great all round summer choice. Pick your size based on your weight, the heavier you are the bigger size you need, and if in doubt go a size bigger. Master mid-length shaper Gérard Dabbadie designed all boards in this range.

A mix of modern day lines and tradition, the 9’0’’ is a great all-around performance board by highly respected French longboard shaper Gérard Dabbadie. The 9’4’’ and 9’6’’ represent more tradition style longboards with some modern day elements that make their ride smooth and easy. Great for the bigger guys on smaller days and the classic longboard stylists that like the drop-knee turn and walk to the nose. The 9’4’’ is also originally designed by Gérard Dabbadie while the 9’6’’ is by Darrell “Rooster” Dell from the Gold Coast, Australia.

Great for flatwater cruising and small waves, ideal all round performance The name says it all. The Cruiser range is based on great all-round performance primarily on flat water, but with the ability to be surfed. Shaped with a long flat section through the middle and lightly rockered through the nose and tail, the boards are sensational flat water paddlers, tracking true and straight yet easy to turn with a little weight on the tail when required.

Stability and manoeuvrability for progressive performance in flatwater to medium waves This season’s Scouts represent the latest in versatility in Stand-Up Paddle design. Shorter and wider summarises the design philosophy with improved efficiency in volume distribution to provide boards that track true and straight on the flat water with superb surf ability in all but the largest of waves. Like last year’s popular Pilot collection, the Scout incorporate a unique flat deck, with a low performance oriented rail, ensuring a comfortable standing position while being fast and manoeuvrable in the surf. All the boards come with a 2+1 fin set-up. Designed to be ridden as Single fin on flat water with the centre fin and side biters included when surfing for maximum manoeuvrability.

A pure wave riding machine for surfing waves of all sizes The new Jet is designed for advanced SUP riders. The 9’2’’ is a surf dedicated performance board based on the plan shape of a shortboard with adjustments to the volume distribution to allow for the needs of stand-up paddle boarding. The bottom shape incorporates a light, double concave from the mid section through the tail with reasonably thin, performance rails for maximum surf ability for experienced riders in a wide range of surf conditions. Built using OXBOW’s newly developed Epoxy PVC construction technology for boards that are super light and durable.
