What is Pact? Pact is the UK trade association that represents

and promotes the commercial interests of independent feature film, television, digital, children's and animation media companies.

Trends in International Sale of UK TV programmes and associated

activities was £1,337b, a 9% increase from £1,227b in 2008. (£484m in 2005)

For a second year, revenue from Australia and New Zealand represented the greatest proportion of the increase from last year, and was the region of greatest growth in terms of both actual and percentage increase.

Tax credits launched in Australia in 2010 Sales to the USA, the UK’s largest export market,

Headline is currently developing a 13x1 hour returning series with Ridley Scott’s company and an estimated overall budget of US$40 million.

Case study - digital Presto Music School launched in 2005, with

studios in both Warrington and Liverpool in the North West of England.

They are now Europe’s largest independent modern music specialist.

In 2010 they expanded their business to include TV, turning one of their methods for teaching into an educational entertaining animation.
