Dear colleagues,

It is a great honor to invite you to the 1 s t t Ovar ian Cancer Academy, to be held from October 4-7, 2015 in C lu j -Napoca, Romania. The meeting which is conducting in conjunction with the ESGO, ENGOT and NOGGO, sets the focus on new strategies in the clinical management of ovarian cancer.

The last few years have seen progressive changes in our approach to ovarian cancer. Basic science has progressed, with new insights into the utility of diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers, immunology and chemoprevention. Surgical approach has also been subjected to changes both towards conservative surgery in selected cases and ultra radical surgery, when indicated. New technological advances in the field have shifted the borders in all aspects of oncological care. Greater understanding of recent scientific advances has led to incorporating this data into strategies for patient management.

Famous experts from home and abroad will present a practice-oriented update in diagnosis, treatment as well as follow-up and allow the necessary international discussion.

We are convinced that this dialogue on the basis of tradition and innovation will again give crucial impulses for the care of our patients and the scientific practice.

We look forward to your participation to the Ovarian Cancer Academy and also welcoming you to Cluj-Napoca.

Sincere regards,

Dr. med. I. Braicu Prof. Dr. J. Sehouli Conf. Dr. P. Achimas
