Whether you are visiting for work or pleasure, be sure and find out more about the many recreational activities available in the “City on the Kinni.” Fishing & Kayaking e Kinnickinnic River, a Class I designated trout stream, flows through town and draws anglers from around the region. Visitors can experience towering canyons or serene landscapes of the river using their own kayaks or those provided by a local outfitter. Biking & Hiking Designated bronze-level biking community by the League of American Bicyclists, River Falls offers miles of scenic paved trails. Whitetail Ridge is a favorite for mountain bikers looking to explore acres of rugged terrain as well as hikers interested in a dynamic and picturesque experience. River Falls also offers a free bike-share program, Blue Bikes, downtown. Birdwatching & Geocaching River Falls is a Bird City and hosts the International Migratory Bird Day Festival each May. A variety of habitats from prairie to pine woods to marshes are found within the city limits. Garden plots through the residential area are planted to entice pollinators, avian or insect. River Falls also offers a variety of adventures for amateur and avid geocaching participants. Sports & Recreation e First National Bank of River Falls Field hosts baseball games in the spring and summer. Glen Park has various sports fields and courts for tennis, pickleball, and basketball.
