‘Achieving Excellence’
Week beginning Sunday 27th October
Our Year 2 Learning Pathway
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We hope that you are having an enjoyable and restful break and look forward to seeing you again on Sunday 27th October at 7.35am.
Reading Challenge: The ‘Emirates Read-a-thon’ will continue during the next half term. Please encourage your child to engage with this reading initiative as a way to encourage them to read every day. Regular reading is vital to achieve academic successful across the curriculum. We are hoping all students will manage to complete the challenge by the winter break - 12th December. Good luck!
Drawings by Me: We are pleased to inform you that students will be taking part in this annual project which enables students to create UAE art designs that can later be transferred onto items such as mugs, pencil cases and cards to be bought as gifts.
Just a reminder that: Home learning is sent out at the start of each week. Please return the homework book the following Sunday. (Home learning is NOT compulsory). Please ensure you spend at least 15mins per day reading with your child. Ask them questions to check their understanding of the texts and encourage them to ask questions too.
Please visit our school website www.aaess.org to access information regarding school events, the school calendar, the parent’s handbook and various other AAESS information. Check and sign your child’s communication book every day. Any messages from school will be in there.
