OUR REDEEMER LUTHERAN CHURCH NEWSLETTER APRIL 2016 PASTOR’S LETTER EASTER Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Every Easter dazzles us, asking the puzzling question by the two men, “Why do you seek the living among the dead?” (Luke 24:5) The woman went to Jesus’ tomb to look for him! He was not there in a grave yard. He was out there living and he still is. The men said, “Jesus is not here. He is risen”. Remember, Jesus promised the resurrection and God delivered. God keeps his promises. He is Risen. He is out there. This is no idle talk as the disciples believed. This was the truth and still is the truth! Now, we celebrate the mother of all Sundays - Easter. This season will proclaim that Jesus is Risen, alive, out in the world! So, Easter invites us to stop, be out there and alive in Christ, away from the empty tomb and proclaiming in all that we do and say, He is Risen! He is Alive! Still out today in us the very body of Christ - Jesus is Risen. He is Risen indeed and we all say Alleluia!| A Blessed Eastertide to you all! In Christ, The Rev. Ronald M. We received Palms to take home.

On St. Patrick's Day a leprechaun visitedus, and he played many tricks. We enjoyedtrying to catch him in the act. He left usgoodies to have a party. The day was veryexciting!

Nursery School News April 2016

Spring has arrived on the calendar but weare still anxiously awaiting the warmerweather of this season. When Easterarrives early on the calendar, it is a recipefor much activity here at Our RedeemerNursery School. Children were treated tolots of learning fun all at the same time asSt. Patrick’s Day, spring and Easter allcoincided! We certainly were busy“bunnies” during the month of March. Theannual visit from the leprechaun sparkedmuch excitement throughout the building. He left behind messy classrooms and lotsof gold coins to hunt for.

At chapel with Pastor on March 16 & 17, wehad a visit from Hector the Donkey andpalms were distributed. Pastor shared thestory of Jesus’ entrance into Jerusalem aswell as the Last Supper. Children celebrated the miracle of Jesus’Resurrection and enjoyed our annual Easteregg hunt as a symbol of the new life andhope that this holy day represents. Theschool will be closed March 24-March 28 forEaster recess.

When we return, the color of the month forApril is purple. On April 7 & 8, we will enjoyTeddy Bear Pajama Day. The children willalso plant seeds this month to sprout in timefor Mother’s Day! They will discover the lifecycle of the plant. In April, our little oneswill also be creating sweet gifts andpracticing special songs in honor of Mom,Grandma or another special lady in theirlives. Our Mother’s Day Teas are May 5 &6.

Wishing the Our Redeemer LutheranChurch congregation a joyous Easter! GodBless you and thank you for your continuedsupport of our school mission!

Fondly,Caitlin DiLemme, Director
