QUICK SHIP OVERVIEW

HYDAC is pleased to announce the re-launch of the QuickShip program, which includes some of our most popular parts from multiple product lines.

This program replaces the old Preferred Stock program. With the change, you may notice that some parts were removed, but others were added. These additions and deletions are a part of natural growth and changes within the program. The discount from the Preferred Stock program was retained.

How does it work?• HYDAC Distributors place purchase orders with

HYDAC Customer Service and use “Quick” as the quote number or mark their POs clearly as QuickShip. Only QuickShip parts can be entered on a QuickShip order.

• If a quantity larger than the maximum allowed by this program is needed, customers may split the quantity and order the maximum allowed by QuickShip on a QuickShip order and order the balance separately. The balance can be placed on a Rush order or a standard order and the appropriate discount will apply.

• Under this program, all parts purchased will receive the QuickShip discount (identical to the old Preferred Stock discount) unless they are ordered as a Rush or unless they are ordered on a standard or stock order to which a better discount would apply.

• All parts in this program will be available to ship within 5 business days.

• Customer may choose to use an expedited or unexpedited freight carrier.

Betamicron® filter elements have been optimized with respect to filtration performance, in fluid cleanliness, lower ΔP/Q, pleat and element protection while handling and operating, and high stability level throughout its life. These elements offer a superior level of optimization of separation efficiency, service life and differential pressure versus flow rate.

• Optimized mesh pack structure maximizes the media area available to capture dirt particles and minimizes resistance to fluid flow.

Optimicron filter elements have been optimized with respect to filtration performance and energy efficiency. These elements offer the best optimization of separation efficiency, service life and differential pressure versus flow rate.

The ECOmicron filter element is environmentally compatible with most hydraulic and lubrication fluids and also compatible for high water based fluid application use (Please consult factory for synthetic fluid use). The media seam is welded with patented HYDAC ultrasonic welding process, which prevents media migration.

• Filters can be fitted with clogging indicators to monitor the contamination level of the element

• Flange connection bolts included for all SAE-DIN flange ports

• The high bypass pressure setting (100 psid) minimizes the possibility of contamination due to premature bypassing.

• Filter materials are compatible with all mineral, lubricating oils, and commonly used fire retardant fluids per ISO 2943.

• Fatigue pressure rating equals maximum allowable working pressure rating.

• The screw-in bowl mounted below the filter head requires minimal clearance for replacement element and contaminated fluid cannot be washed downstream when the element is serviced.

Filter SystemsHYDAC offers all of the products that are needed to achieve the appropriate cleanliness level in a hydraulic and lubrication system. Our aim is to maximize machine availability and to optimize systems of all media types – while reducing operational costs and improving product quality.

HYDAC Filter Systems include portable and inline contamination monitors, as well as portable and permanent offline filters. We also offer in-depth analysis kits and fluid conditioning systems.

OFCD Series

OFCD Filter Carts are compact, filtration systems that can be equipped with high capacity filter elements for particulate and/or water removal. They are perfect for cleaning up existing systems as well as for pre-filtering new fluids. Filter carts are supplied with 120 VAC, single phase, electric motors.

OF5HD

HYDAC’s off-line Kidney Loop System is a stationary version of the Mobile Filtration System. It is a compact, self-contained filtration system equipped with high efficiency, high capacity elements capable of removing particulate contamination and/or water quickly, conveniently and economically. This offline system can be used to

supplement inline filters when adequate turnover cannot be achieved in the system. It is also ideal for water removal. The OF5HD dual filtration unit can be used to remove both water and particulate contamination, or for staged particulate contaminant removal.

Fluid Control Unit is a portable service unit designed for the real-time measurement of particulate and water contamination in hydraulic systems. The integrated pump and hoses make it a perfect choice for control and pressure circuits and fluid sampling from pressure-less reservoirs.

The OLF Compact Series filters are used for offline filtration of hydraulic oil reservoirs up to 1000 gallons. The OFS filtration system is capable of flushing, filtering, and monitoring ISO cleanliness with user-defined, automatic features. The OFS is designed to transfer fluid through two filters in series for staged particulate or water/particulate removal. The CS1220 and water sensor are included to provide real-time ISO code and water saturation of the fluid, both displayed on the control panel.

Ready to install offline filtration unit complete with pump and motor. The OLF Series of filters are designed to quickly remove contamination from hydraulic systems using our Dimicron filter element technology. Typical applications include filling and flushing of hydraulic units, filtration of hydraulic systems on test stands, cleaning fluids on parts washing equipment and filtration of coolants.

MAFH Series of Water Removal Systems

Water contamination in hydraulic systems can severely reduce the life of hydraulic systems and fluids. Using a patented transfer process, the MAFH Series efficiently removes water and particulate contamination quickly in all environments. The MAFH Dehydration Stations are designed to remove free and dissolved water from reservoirs. An on-board water sensor shows the actual humidity value on the control panel.

The former Betafit line will now be called Betterfit, and will incorporate an exclusive outer wrap that not only improves performance, but also provides quality protection. It features a unique oval-hole design that improves flow for more efficient filtration, ensuring long system life and cost savings. Differential pressure sensing valves can be used for controlling pressure, flow, direction or compensation. They are functional building elements which respond to pressure inputs, providing for switching or modulation of the flow. The choice of circuit arrangements related to the Pressure Sensing valves can simplify the circuit design and minimize the size of the manifold, thus reducing manifold cost.

Pilot Operated Check Valves• Flows up to 40 gpm (150 l/min) and

pilot ratios 3:1 and 4:1. • Lock a load from port 1 to port 2 until

pilot pressure applied to port 3 is sufficient to unseat the valve

• Flow path provides for higher flow rating in a given cavity

• Low cost alternative to load control when the dynamics of neither overrunning loads nor load release speed are factors to be considered in the design of the hydraulic circuit

regardless of system operating pressure conditions. These valves have a special feature of providing synchronizing flow to either port 4 or port 2 when the other is blocked.

Ball-type poppet shut-off valve. It has two inlets (port 1 and 3) and one outlet (port 2). The inlet with the higher pressure pushes the closing element towards the other inlet. The inlet with the higher pressure is therefore always automatically connected to the outlet, and the other inlet is shut off.

Poppet type solenoid valves are intended for use as load holding and blocking devices in hydraulic circuits requiring very low internal leakage.

• Two-way and three-way normally closed or normally open

• Unidirectional or bi-directional load holding and blocking valves.

• Tested on an automated test stand measuring internal leakage by monitoring pressure decay, not counting drops per minute providing reliable load holding and assuring minimum pressure decay at the actuator.

All HYDAC Coils use perfect winding of high quality, “Class N” wire so as to eliminate crossed wires and to ensure they can be operated continuously in extremely high temperatures. Additional benefits:

HYDAC line bodies provide a cost effective method for compact, easy installation of any HYDAC cartridge. Using authentic HYDAC bodies - with each cavity and port machined to our own exacting standards - ensures safe, high-performance function of cartridge valves plumbed “in-line.”

Standard line bodies are available for each cavity size in both clear anodized aluminum (3500 psi max. pressure) or clear zinc-plated steel (6000 psi max. pressure) are offered with SAE O-ring boss ports.

They are well suited for applications where smaller fluid volumes and flow rates are adequate and that require compact design, low weight, flexible mounting position, and extremely quick shock response.

Piston accumulators are a cost effective option for numerouis functions involving energy storage in hydraulic systems. They are well suited for applications that require high pressure ratios, large volumes of oil, and high fluid flow rates. Piston accumulator systems are often designed to include back-up N2 cylinder systems.

The OK-LN series is the latest development in the HYDAC Air Cooler family. It is the optimized, low noise version of the OK Series coolers. Sizes OK-LN 8-14 have a wide range of accessories and allow for flexible adaptation to various applications to cool industrial hydraulic systems.

• Plates and connections are manufactured from stainless steel to AISI 316, 1.4401, vacuum–brazed with copper.

Our clamps assure a simple, reliable dampening support for lines which absorb shock, dampen vibration, and reduce noise in plumbing systems.

Standard duty, heavy duty, and twin series are available with either ribbed bores (standard) or smooth bore (special order).





The HYDAC family of dependable high pressure ball valves provides full, unrestricted flow and positive shut-off of fluids and gases under extreme service conditions. Models are available to accommodate system pressures up to 7,250 PSI. Since a variety of materials are available, HYDAC valves can be used with various fluids and gases including petroleum-based oils and some water glycols.

• Available to 2” tube outside diameter.• Recommended for systems with less

than 1500 PSI operating pressure and no dynamic loads.

• Available to 16” nominal pipe size• Recommended for systems with

greater than 1500 PSI operating pressure, operations with pressure surges and applications with wide temperature fluctuations.

Flow Control Valves

Fluid Level Indicators

The HYDAC family of flow control valves permit safe, simple and repeatable control of hydraulic fluids at operating pressures to 5000 psi. The standard slotted control spindle allows for a wide range of infinitely variable flow adjustments with excellent flow characteristics. Precise adjustment of flow is achieved by a micrometer style adjustment knob featuring a color coded flow indicator for accurate, easy-to read visual flow reference. Design modifications and special materials are available for corrosive fluids such as phosphate ester, acids and caustics.

HYDAC offers fluid level indicators (sometimes called sight gauges) which allow for the oil level to be viewed outside of the tank. These indicators are also available with electric switches which can be used to trigger alarms. Thermometers and thermal probes are additional options in HYDAC’s line of fluid level indicators.

HYDAC series 1620, guided piston design, Test Points are compact, self-sealing couplings that provide access to hydraulic and pneumatic systems for pressure measurement to 9000 psi. Mating adapters or hose connections can be connected without loss of fluid while the system is operating. Test Points can also be used to take oil samples or to bleed air from hydraulic systems. They are available in 1620 (M16x2.0) connection threads with a variety of screw-in port configurations.

• Can be coupled and uncoupled under pressure without system shutdown or fluid loss

• Patented guided piston design for leak free performance at operating pressure to 9000 psi

• HYDAC guided piston design provides the following advantages over ball and seal design: - Higher working pressure - Better sealing characteristics
