Leveraging Oracle

Leveraging Oracle E-Business Suite, Arkansas Oklahoma Gas created a

solution that tracks distribution integrity management (DIMP) critical items

from cradle to grave. The project was a blend of Oracle software and

databases, SQL server and reporting services, custom .NET applications and

middleware, and ESRI software. Utilizing Oracle’s Inventory and Enterprise

Asset Management modules, Arkansas Oklahoma Gas built a mobile data

collection suite that allows it to collect geospatial information on work

order items, record resource time and mileage, and document other work

order-specific data points. For DIMP, they needed to not only know what

parts they used and where they put them but also who manufactured

them plus their lot numbers. Using Oracle technologies as change agents

helped them accomplish these objectives.

about a relatively new JD Edwards EnterpriseOne module that provides the

capability to track and manage all types of incidents and near misses, as

well as analyze critical safety metrics and provide regulatory reporting.

Come learn how any employee can record the initial details of an incident.

The system can then automatically notify interested parties, manage

investigation and follow-up tasks, track incident costs and action items,

record inspections and potential incidents, such as near misses, and of

course report to OSHA and the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

to manage 20,000 assets and the 2,500+ parent/child relationships that

accompany those assets. Oracle solutions help the company manage a

highly distributed and mission-critical pool of resources across its 30+

operating companies. This customer will discuss their strategies to go

paperless—why it works, how it has helped the supply chain, and the

process it took to get there—and how they drive work order processing

out to the mechanics in their 30+ operating units. Finally, Recology will

share their experience and plan to develop a sound strategy for total cost

of ownership, including objectives for acquisition, depreciation, lease, fuel

and maintenance.
