  • MISSIONS Yokohama, Japan (yoh-kuh-HAH-muh) - Praise the Lord for Cindy*, a new sister in Christ! Cindy

found her way to an international church in Yokohama a month ago and was

searching for truth after coming out of 10-year stint in the Mormon faith.

During a recent meeting with a missionary, Cindy expressed her desire to

"really know" who Jesus is. She had been wondering what she could do to be

accepted by God and enter heaven. The missionary carefully read a tract

together with Cindy. When Cindy read about God's gift of salvation and that

all she had to do was receive it, she closed her eyes and bowed her head,

and tears began to flow. "You mean that this is all I have to do . . . receive

God's gift? I've worked so hard to do good things to try and please God, but I

could never find peace." She immediately prayed to receive Christ. Praise

God for the peace Cindy has received in Jesus, and pray for her as she

begins her new life in him! (*name changed)
