men and women who have served in the United States military. As a

token of my appreciation, it is my pleasure to be able to offer

Veteran’s ID Cards, free of charge. I hope that you will take advantage

of this service and use the card to benefit from the many discounts

offered by the businesses of Morris County. More importantly, you

will have the peace of mind knowing that your discharge papers are

officially and permanently recorded should you ever need a

replacement certified copy.

As a courtesy to the courageous men and women that have

served in the armed forces, the Morris County Clerk’s Office is proud

to offer free ID cards to honorably discharged veterans. All that is

required is one form of identification proving Morris County

residency and the original or certified copy of the discharge record. If

the record is already on file with our office, the original or certified

copy is not necessary.

All discharge records that are not already on file with our

office will be permanently recorded and returned to the veteran. All

discharge documents recorded in our office are considered

confidential and can only be accessed by the veteran or a member of

his or her immediate family.

These cards not only provide an additional form of

identification but also discounts at many businesses throughout

Morris County. County Veteran’s ID Cards are not designed to replace

the federal Veteran Health Identification Card (VHIC) needed to

access Veterans Affairs health benefits or other government

programs.

No appointment is necessary. We are available any

time from 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. For more
