Crystallography plays an important role in many of the products we use in our daily lives; fromthe fertilizers used to produce our food and the building materials for our homes and roads tothe semiconductors in our means of communication and the medicines for our health.PANalytical Mexico together with UNESCO, IUCr, SMCr and BUAP have planned the secondedition of the OpenLab organized last year. This time, the OpenLab will be held at the PhysicsInstitute of the University of Puebla (BUAP) from 29th September to 2nd October 2015.11 national crystallography experts and Dr. Cristina Hoffmann from the Spallation NeutronSource, Oak Ridge National Laboratory (USA) will present a variety of lectures. A visit to amuseum and several other activities have been scheduled as well.We invite you to register for this Crystallography OpenLab, where attendees will have theopportunity to attend lectures spanning from the principles of crystallography to advancedapplications of the X-ray diffraction technique. To join us, please register by sending an email to [email protected] mentioning your fullname and the institute from which you will be visiting us.Another option is to register via our website www.panalytical.com/openlabmexico2015.There is no cost for this event, and food and refreshments will be served to all attendees. We hope to see you there!Sept 29-Oct 2, 2015
