Tourism Studies1 - The program is designed to meet the needs of a rapidly evolving tourism industry

and incorporates co-op, internships including Disney internship with the University of Florida,

professional and field experiences for students. It explicitly integrates principles of sustainability

(environmental, social, economic and political) in tourism management and tourism planning. Students

will be prepared for career opportunities in a variety of tourism and hospitality businesses, public,

commercial and non-profit organizations. Students will develop transferable skills in many areas of their

future lives, including research skills, communication skills, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities,

and the ability to work collaboratively with others. Students will also learn to incorporate innovative,

creative and responsible opinions and perspectives into their future endeavours.

Geography and Tourism Studies2 - Geography and Tourism Studies also offers several methodology

and field courses that provide students with the skills necessary for conducting primary research and

gaining a better appreciation of the centrality of geography to understanding human life.
