Online Mess Management system for CISF Karipur Unit The Department of Computer Science & Engineering of NIT Calicut has developed an Online Mess Management System for the CISF Unit of Calicut Airport. The software development project was initiated by Prof. Sivaji Chakravorti, Director NIT Calicut and Sri. Daniel Dhanaraj, Deputy Commandant of CISF Karipur Unit. Dr. Sivaji Chakravorti handed over the software including the source code and user manual to Sri Daniel, CISF, in a function held at NIT Calicut campus today ( 25 th January 2018). Sri. Daniel informed the gathering that he has informed the CISF Head Quarters at New Delhi about this software, and they can potentially utilize this for all the 3000 plus CISF units across the country. The project was successfully carried out by four MCA students ( Rishabh Arora, Sarvesh Ambrish, Gaurav Singh and John C.A) of NIT Calicut under the guidance of Dr. S .D Madhu Kumar and Sri.M. Pandiyanathan. This software was delivered free of cost to the CISF Karipur Unit as part of the outreach activities of NIT Calicut. Dr.S.Ashok, Dean( R&C), asserted that NIT Calicut is pledged to take up development projects which are beneficial to the society.
