OMNIFET III LOW-SIDE DrIVEr BLOCK DIaGraMS aND TYPICaL aPPLICaTIONSOMNIFETIIIproductsoffer,inonesinglechip,thepowerstage(FET)plusadditionalcontrolanddiagnosticfunctionalities.Thismakesthoseproductsaviablesolutionforevery12Vapplicationwhereasmartpowerswitch,inlowsidetopology,isrequired.Built-inthermalshutdownandoutputcurrentlimitationsecuredeviceandloadprotectionagainstoverloadorshort-circuitcondition.Thermalshutdownwithautomaticrestart,allowsthedevicetorecovernormaloperationassoonasafaultconditiondisappears.Fastdemagnetizationofinductiveloadsisachievedatturn-off.Moreover,devicesbelongingtoOMNIFETIIIproductfamily,offerdiagnosticpin(Status)supportingmicrocontrollermonitoringoffaultconditionsaswellasloaddisconnection.
