dreams become reality.
Sudoku Corner
The object of Sudoku is to place the
numbers 1-9 in the empty squares so
that each row, each column and each

April’s Top Jokes You’ll Love or Hate
1. I changed my password to "incorrect.” So whenever I forget what it is the computer will say "Your password is incorrect.” 2. Life is all about perspective. The sinking of the Titanic was a miracle to the lobsters in the ship's kitchen. 3. When an employment application asks who is to be notified in case of emergency, I always write, "A very good doctor.” 4. I eat my tacos over a Tortilla. That way when stuff falls out, BOOM, another taco. 5. People are making end of the world jokes like there is no tomorrow. 6. Intelligence is like underwear. It is important that you have it, but not necessary that you show it off. 7. One day you're the best thing since sliced bread. The next, you're toast. 8. I can't believe I got fired from the calendar factory. All I did was take a day off. 9. I'd tell you a chemistry joke but I know I wouldn't get a reaction. 10. I wasn't originally going to get a brain transplant, but then I changed my mind.

Tips to Make your Money Last the Rest of the Semester
By: Sharon Robinson--Instructor, Accounting, Finance, IRM Department
1. Have a Plan: evaluate your spending. Know where dollar is coming
from and going to.
2. Avoid Fees: be mindful of ATM fees—they can add up quickly!
3. Find Inexpensive things to do with Friends: go to an ISU theatre performance, get some exercise at the rec, take on
the National Road Heritage Trail or check out Griffin Bike Park for some challenging bike trails
4. It is the Little Things: drink water instead of soda, buy used books or share with a friend, car pool, buy snacks at the
grocery store instead of from a vending machine, borrow DVDs from the library
5. Or, Change your Income: consider a part-time job for spending money but don’t work too much, student first
6. Keep Looking for Scholarships: fastweb.com has all kinds of scholarships for all majors. Register online and they will
find scholarships that you can apply for.
7. Need More Help? Check out “CashCourse” found on the ISU financial webpage for a non-credit way to learn about
personal finance or, check with your advisor to see if you should take STATE’s 3-credit personal finance, FIN108
10 Effective Study Habits: How many of these do you do? From: http://psychcentral.com/lib/top-10-most-effective-study-habits/
“The key to effective studying isn’t cramming or studying longer,
but studying smarter.”
1. How you approach studying matters
Aim to think positively! Avoid any and all negativity.
2. Where you study is important
Find a location that is conducive for you and your habits.
3. Bring everything you need, nothing you don’t
Be careful not to bring anything more distracting than beneficial.
4. Outline and rewrite your notes
5. Use memory games (mnemonic devices)
6. Practice by yourself or with friends
7. Make a schedule you can stick to
8. Take breaks (and rewards!)
Make studying fun!
9. Keep healthy and balanced
A health body is a healthy mind; a healthy mind is a healthy body.
10. Know what the expectations are for the class
Keep from unwanted surprises on your finals. Know what is expected of
you to perform well!
