OurLadyofLourdesCatholicPrimarySchoolisastateintegratedco-educationschoolcateringforstudentsfromnewentrantstoyear6offeringaCatholiceducation.Wewereestablishedin1950byourProprietor,theCatholicBishopoftheDioceseofPalmerstonNorth.TheSistersofMercy were our founding order and their Charism continues to underpin our schoolspirituality.

Ourschoolcurrentlyhasarollof151pupils.Approximately45%Pakeha/European/Other,15%Māori,21%Pasifikaand19%Asian.

Our Lady of Lourdes School is currently staffed by a Principal, six full time permanentteachers,twoparttimepermanentteachers,officemanager,twoteacheraides,oneparttimelibraryassistant,oneparttimecleanerandoneparttimecaretaker.OurstaffaresupportedbyourcommittedBoardwithawiderangeofeducational,businessandmanagementskills.ThestaffandBoardworkcloselytogethertoprovideahighstandardofeducationwithinaCatholicenvironment.

2. ThePrincipalmustthereforebeafullycommittedCatholic,committedtoCatholicreligiouspracticesandtothefurtheranceofCatholiceducation.

3. ThePrincipalmusthavethewillingnessandabilitytotakepartinReligiousInstructionappropriatetothespecialcharacterofourCatholicSchool.
